Firstly let me say we have been coming to this hotel for the past 9 years. Whilst I understand it’s a budget hotel, it is in great need of an update. We ended up paying for another hotel for a couple of nights to try and get some sleep! The beds are very uncomfortable now so I imagine they are very old and need replacing, My son had a shower and the shower head fell off onto his head. Maintenance did come out with 15 minutes to replace. The shower was just about warm! I’m sad because I’ve had many excellent memories at this hotel but unfortunately this stay was not pleasant.
Good Budget Friendly Option

I have read some of the reviews on here and felt they were a little unjust. You simply cannot expect a luxury resort for the price tag - it is completely unrealistic. What you do get, however, is a comfortable hotel set in pleasant grounds close to both the Disney Parks and Universal for a very reasonable price. Admittedly, the bedrooms may not be the most modern but the beds are comfortable and we appreciated the inclusion of a decent sized fridge and a microwave which proved to be invaluable for grabbing a quick breakfast before a busy day at the parks. We did, however, plan ahead and bring a travel kettle as we noted that the room provides a coffee machine in lieu of a kettle and we mainly drink tea. The communal areas of the hotel are well maintained and the fountains in the ponds look lovely. We enjoyed a down day by the hotel pool and many evenings on the boardwalk decking with a drink. The little shop in reception was quite useful for the odd drink/snack here and there but it is quite expensive and there are no prices listed on anything. We did not eat at the hotel during our stay, however, we did enjoy a few drinks in the bar and would like to give a massive shout out to the lovely barman Raymond who is a real credit to the hotel - always going the extra mile despite being rushed off his feet!! The hotel shuttle service was a little patchy and not always at the most ideal times (definitely check that the schedule works for you) so we relied on a combination of the shuttle and uber/lyft. Overall it was a comfortable stay and a solid budget friendly option- we would stay again.
