My family really enjoyed our stay. We went to the splashtopia, it was so much fun there. It’s also dog friendly, and next time we’ll bring our dog. And the staff was nice, even gave us a late night golf cart tour.

    Good but needs work

I had high hopes for this resort, despite some sad reviews.... me and my best friend booked this trip over spring break with our kids. Upon check-in, we were greeted with a “hi” from a woman, and another in training...and they seemed irritated we were bothering them. This shocked me as I’ve been to 4 star resorts....and that’s never been the welcome I’ve received. No big deal, we continued checking in. The pool situation was not explained to us despite me asking questions on when we could go to pool. Come to find out we had morning pool times and that was it. if you want all day pool access you better be willing to shell out the money for a cabana (they don’t tell you that, but we figured it out.) after finishing check in, we were handed our keys and sent on our way. Immediately upon pulling up to the buildings I noticed dirty dishes in the flower bushes and I couldn’t figure out what that would be. I later saw that this is a practice all through the resort by housekeepers. I’m sure it’s someone’s job to come get them....but the dishes sat in front of our building 2 entire days. That’s just crazy to me! Have some pride! the rooms were just okay. They need updating and lots of work. We got upgraded for free to poolside, which was nice for the kids but if you have littles who will be easily kept up at night by music by the pool, this upgrade isn’t for you. Casey, our poolside server both days was a delight. He’s pleasant and kept it real with us. I always appreciate a genuine person who doesn’t come off fake to make a buck (recognizing this is their job, but he def took good care of us.) It was okay, I don’t leave here overly wowed but it was relaxing, and it was beautiful. The golf course is gorgeous and seems well kept...bluember was just okay. Certainly expect to pay resort prices however do know there is food within walking distance or a quick 3 min drive. We even DoorDashed one night (papa Dan’s was a nightmare highly don’t recommend) The kids had an amazing time and that’s all that matters. I wish for the money I spent, that just a few details could have been a bit better. Communication and welcoming upon checkin being number one, and the dishes situation throughout the resort the other.... I don’t know that I would come back or highly recommend to anyone for a longer trip. For a few days, it served its purpose and was really enjoyable and relaxing.

Average Stay, not a four star hotel

Almost every tile in the bathroom of 1424 was loose, not kidding floor is sinking. Stubbed toes multiple times. Shower head did not work properly. Toilet noise every flush. I stay at hotels 4 stars and above as I travel and this hotel missed the marks. Not one free bottle of water at arrival, $6 dollars each , no note pad to take notes with pen not present. One robe in room, should have two for couples. Pillow on beds had stains. Balcony furniture was broken. Bathroom bench was extremely dirty and was not cleaned. Mini fridge not cleaned. We found a beach ball in the bathroom cubby. Overall experience was disappointing especially at 377 a night. Positives : Breakfast service at blue ember was top notch. COVID Pool schedule was planned well. Friendly staff and grounds are very well kept. Plenty of parking.

Great staycation. A++ for the kids

We’re local to Southern California and were looking for a quick getaway to the desert. It was our first time staying at the Omni and we were very impressed. We arrived early Sunday morning (before 10am) and were greeted by Don at the front desk. He was extremely friendly, explained the layout of the resort, and even offered to upgrade us so we could be closer to the pool. He was able to give us our wrist bands so the kids could start using the pool as soon as we got there. Great service Don! Throughout our stay the staff was very friendly, especially Hugo who drove us back and forth on the golf cart. My kids loved it. For dinner, we didn’t have a reservation and it was fully booked. Instead of the host turning us away, she suggested we sit by the fire and can still order the full menu. What a GREAT idea! Highly recommend this as the kids could run around and we could still have a peaceful dinner fireside. Omni is a beautiful property, with amenities for both adults and kids. We are looking forward to another stay. Mike & Stef

We are here now to take a staycation with our kids for the weekend. Paid $300+ a night for a two queen room. It’s situated across the parking lot from the rest of the hotel grounds which is a bit annoying to walk across with kids. The room is a bit tired, bathroom has a dust filled vent and is small, someone else’s food was left in our mini fridge (so much for deep covid cleaning) and it’s dark colors making it feel outdated. The pool area is quite small for the number of rooms onsite and it’s particularly noticeable during covid. There were several times I felt unsafe since people are unmasked at pool. There’s lines for the slides, the lazy river is packed and it feels busy for NON covid times I can’t imagine how it is otherwise. About half the people walk around unmasked too outside. There’s only one restaurant open onsite for dinner and you can’t make reservations same day or day before on weekends - even if you try, the “activity desk” is closed and shows as totally booked on opentable. Resulted in us waiting hour+ every night for dinner combined with cranky kids after a long day. Wouldn’t say the hostesses are overly friendly either. In addition, for such a huge hotel with tons of families, theres really minimal kids activities. The game room outside was tired and missing pieces, lot of opportunity there. On the plus side, food is good. So yeah, it’s just alright.
