The chair reservation game at this resort is insane. The resort staff is not doing enough to remove and discourage chair reservations. Seats at the beach are reserved with towels for the whole day with no one coming. The staff can see Ambar towels in the aquamarine beach and not remove them. The check in procedure was not clear where aquamarine guests can and can not go. Food is good and staff are friendly. Rooms are dated but make do.

Like all my reviews I try to be open and objective. We whet the the BP Aquamarine from April 21st, 2024 to the 28th, we were 4 couples that travelled together from Ottawa Ontario to Punta Cana and arrived around 9PM (this is the best time to travel (no wait, no lines on anything). We arrived at the resorts Main lobby (they have 2) which is more of a guess receiving area, registering was easy, fast and efficient, they gave us rooms that we close to the second lobby area and close to the buffet, i do recommend buildings 80-81, you are close to everything, buffet, lobby and pools. The Room Nice room, king size bed, very clean but outdated, No issues with the how water, never ran out and very hot! Biggest issue was getting the room made up, sometimes we came back at 4 pm and still wasn't done. i would say that we got it cleaned 5 of 7 days! I do have to say that the beds are comfortable but the pillows are awful, small and could be replaced. A la carte restaurants We only went a few, MEAT is definitely a must, steak is really good! Olivos is also good, we had a filet mignon there and it was great, dessert was a flambe that is worth the show and taste! We also went to Mariko, the Japanese restaurant situated at Grand Punta Cana, food was good, the chef was also good, what is didn't like was seeing cockroaches coming out from under the sink, i killed 5 with my foot and kept an eye on the food, we will never eat there again. The Buffet Wonderful choices, all meals are well prepared and they give you different varieties at every meal. I do want to point out the quality of the service, the staff goes out of their way to please you, we have been extremely well served at the buffet, hats off to the staff! The lobby They have good entertainment which goes up to 11pm, service is good. I do want to underline the bartending team, they are some of the best bartenders i've seen in my travel, they take their time to make the perfect drink (in my case a dry Martini and my wife a Bloody Caesar), our favorite bartenders were Francisco and Derlyn, they are great! I do recommend you sit on the patio, Carina provided quick service to our table and the patio has more breeze there! We had a little glitch with our cards and went to the desk and Manuel resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. The pools They are big pools, clean and the entertaining is good but repetitive, you pretty much get the same show everyday. But, you do get different games everyday, we got 2 foam parties and had a great time. The only thing we didn't like was when a bunch of university kids (calling them that because they acted like kids) came and decided that the local music was too boring for them and put their laud speaker on the bar and made us listen the their rap garbage, no one on the bar team said anything and we never saw security. That ended the day at the pool for a lot of people who left. I do have to say that they make really good drinks at the bar. Activity We only did one and it was the ATV 1/2 day, i will write a separate review for that but suffice to say, not worth the money it cost ($314 Canadian). We got a side by side with engine trouble and it died within the first 5 kilometers, they replaced it with one with no brakes, replaced that one with one with steering issues, extremely poorly maintained. Don't waste your money on this! The beach Kept the best for last, they have one of the most beautiful beaches over there, sand, sand and more sand! Water is blue, very clear and the water was warm. No issues getting a chair, service is good. The only down side is the distance from the resort but they do have little trollies that go up and down the resorts at a rate of once every 15 minutes of so. If you do decide to walk, you're looking at 10-15 minutes tops! The Sport Bar Since this was our second stay at the Bahia complex, we know and already enjoyed the Sports Bar, i will always recommend it, good food (cheeze sticks are out of this word and the wings). Take some time to go, you won't regret it! If i have to give this place a score it would be a 4.75 out of 5. We would return in a heart beat to Aquamarine, because everything was good. We are a couple mid 50s and so were our friends, we like to have fun and have good drinks. We travel 4 times a year in different resorts and countries but this one we will consider going back to next year!

Overall it was exceptional. My husband and I truly enjoyed everything there was to offer. Next time we will venture out to see what else there is. The beach was to die for and the water exceptional. We truly truly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back next year.

We just came back from an amazing trip at Punta Cana. We were 2 couples and stayed at this hotel: Aquamarine. We had such a great experience. We felt everyone was giving the best they had to make us feel special. The staff is warm and welcoming and very professional. They truly make a difference. A special mention goes to Rigo at the pool, Luciana (with her precious smile)and the fantastic entertainment team leadered by Walter. All of you are special souls and we made beautiful memories.
