The staff and activities were great. I liked that we could go back and forth to both resorts. The hotel was very safe and the staff very helpful and friendly. It was overall fabulous, but our room did smell musty.

This is definitely not a 5* hotel. It’s supposed to be flawless for the money one pays for their stay, but unfortunately the hotel is not. The first thing a guest notices in the hotel is dirtiness. The wood and marble floors in the lobby are covered with dust. The French windows in the main building and Choicez are dirty; the tables and wineglasses in Choicez are dirty as well (apparently they just let the glasses dry themselves, and all of them are covered with water spots; several times waiters brought us wet wineglass, which is totally unacceptable). Unfortunately I must say that the waiters in Choicez are poorly trained, as there is no balance in their service. They can work around round your table refilling your water glasses and taking your plate away every time you’re about to finish your meal, and at the same time they can ignore a dirty plate standing alone on the table, or can serve drinks so slowly that you manage to finish your starter before they bring you a drink. The good service is not about adding water and asking all the time whether I finished or not. One waiter asked me to sign a bill for a bottle of wine right after she brought the wine to us. Did she think I could run away with this bottle without signing the bill? The second thing a guest notices in the hotel is very thin walls and audibility of noises. Staying in your room you will easily hear conversations taking place in the corridor or in the neighboring room, especially if they speak high voices. Many guests come to the hotel to spend a weekend or celebrate an event; therefore you’re unlikely to have a peaceful evening or even night in your room. Besides, the door panels are so weak that every time somebody shut the door, the door in our room vibrated. There is definitely something wrong with the housekeeping, as they come during a day and take some towels away, and then come at 9 or even 10 pm offering towel refreshing service when many guests are already in their beds... The rooms have no bidets and movable shower head, just tropical showers. In case you need to wash your feet or any other part of your body, you won’t be able to do so and will have to get under the tropical shower every time. The minibar was refreshed only 7 times out of 11 days of our stay. The beach towels were old and had bleached stains all over. The water in the swimming pools and the hot tub is very chlorinated and smells strong. The disinsectization of the gardens takes place at 5am every morning, so you if you leave your window/balcony open wishing enjoying the fresh Caribbean air, you will be woken up by a chemical odor and a noise of insecticides dispensers. The electrical power in rooms is much less than 220v, so if you bring your own hair stylers with you, you won’t be able to use them. iPhones and laptops get charged very slowly. Waiters at the beach do not respect one’s privacy and annoy with asking every 10-15 minutes whether everything is ok. There are no freshly squeezed juices, fruits, coffee and ice-cream at the beach. To get you a coffee, a waiter will to go to the coffee shop in the main bundling. And you will have to wait until your lunch or dinner to get some fresh fruits. The only fruit available at the beach is coconut for $5 piece! Jamaica is one of the leading coconut oil producing countries and a “5 star all-inclusive hotel” offers coconuts for money? Btw, they sell coconuts for cash only with no possibility to charge the room, and this takes place at the beach and in the swimming pool area where nobody’s carrying cash with them… The SPA is “lovely”. Firstly, this is a lady in the changing room whose functional remained a mystery to me. She was present in the room watching us undressing before the treatment and dressing up afterwards. Secondly, for the money charged ($160-180 per treatment) the SPA does not offer clients one-use underwear and slippers. I was given a pair of multi-use rubber slippers, which is non-hygienic, I was told to keep my underwear on and it soaked in oil during the treatment… Is this a five star SPA? Finally, the billing system just freaked me out! While checking me in, a receptionist got my written approval (asked me to sign a written form) for preauthorizing my credit card for $300. But then, when I went beyond this limit during my stay, the hotel continued preauthorizing my credit card every day without any permission or approval from me or even without any notification of me! This is disrespectful to the hotel guests and illegal!!! The hotel should either preauthorize a larger amount of money at check-in (or at least add a wording to the form they ask to sign about their right to make further reauthorizations), or get permissions from the cardholders for further authorizations! Otherwise it’s illegal!! The culmination of the story was preauthorization of another $300 after I checked out and paid my final bill! I have never come across with anything like this before …

Everything was excellent. Was there for my mom 74th birthday. She really enjoyed herself. Loved the pool bubble party, the party boat and the food was also great. The view from my room was great, just wish I had more time.

This was our first time visiting Jamaica and it was wonderful! Overall we had a great stay at the hotel. We stayed in the Rose Hall building which is the newest building. Rooms are modern and minimalistic. We were a little concerned about the proximity of our room to the stage but the front desk staff member assured us we wouldn’t hear the music if the balcony doors were closed. This was not the case. The music was SO loud but fortunately stopped at 10pm. We have little ones but it ended up being ok. The food was ok... the Italian and Asian restaurants were our favorite. The breakfast buffet was great! I wish there were some more poolside lunch options like a salad etc. The staff at the hotel is amazing. Everyone is friendly, warm and so accommodating. Kevon and kidz club staff were awesome! We will definitely be returning.
