Early access purchase
Who: Gold and Platinum members
Availability: space permitting, 48 – 24 hours prior to departure
Rewards: earn/redeem WestJet points, qualifying spend
Gold and Platinum are first in line to purchase cabin upgrades by calling the priority support number which is available through the WestJet app or in the Tier Benefits section of the Account Profile on westjet.com.
Complimentary upgrade prior to check-in
Who: Silver, Gold and Platinum members
Availability: space permitting, 48 – 24 hours prior to departure
Rewards: no earn/redeem of WestJet points, no qualifying spend
Sit back and relax – top-tier members may be automatically upgraded prior to check-in when space in the Premium cabin permits.
Complimentary upgrades are assigned prior to the opening of the 24-hour check-in period and allocated in priority order by tier, starting with Platinum, followed by fare class purchased, in descending order.

With our interactive live auction bidding, you can bid as many times as you wish and can see where your bid stands on the real-time leaderboard.
At this time, there are no WestJet points or qualifying spend accumulated on the amount charged for your winning bid; you cannot use WestJet points to pay for a winning bid.
Pre-boarding complimentary upgrades
Who: Silver, Gold and Platinum members
Availability: space permitting, prior to start of boarding
Rewards: no earn/redeem of WestJet points, no qualifying spend
When available, upgrades will automatically be allocated to Silver, Gold and Platinum members members in priority, based on tier followed by fare class purchased.
If successful, a seat will be automatically assigned prior to the start of boarding, and the member will receive an updated boarding pass delivered via email and Apple Wallet 40 minutes before the flight’s estimated departure.
