We stayed there a week and we did not liked it very much . Althought it’s clean and well located , it’s been made by a weird architect so the layout is weird . There’s a loud fan that runs from 7.45 a.m trough 11.30 p.m and makes it impossible tu use the ocean view balcony for at least six rooms of the 11 block . Who the heck would install that there ! The food was bad in almost all the restaurants , i mean the steak is bad ,the bacon is overcooked or not enough when there is any at all . They serve leftovers in tacos , stews and others . Nothing like a 5 star Hotel at all . They charge for everything they can , like 2 $usd to use the pier to go scubadiving . The place is understaff so there mostly exhausted . We had a deal for the week but even then it was not worth the price paid , so it’s really not worth the regular price . The drinks were good and the grounds amazing . Most of the staff was friendly and trying their best . It’s just it’s not a 5 star but a good 3.5 star to my knowledge . I should have believe the comments left before mine . Good luck if you get there .

Nice resort, friendly staff, good food and drinks. My advise to anyone who visits is to stay away from the UVC (Unlimited Vacation Club) sales pitch. They will lie, lie, lie to you. Please check them out on the BBB prior to listening to anything they say. That's the only reason for this rating. The sales pressure was ridiculous. AM Resorts can do so much better.

Just returned from our 6th visit to Secrets Aura Cozumel.

Beach View room: Great room with nice views of the ocean/beach. Restaurants: We love dining at the Market Buffett for breakfast. They have a large selection of pastries and fruit. The French toast and waffles are always good. There was not too much of a wait on this trip for a custom omelette or eggs. The only negative was that bacon, sausage, and potatoes dishes were not replenished frequently, but other than that, everything else that we expected was available, Love the fresh orange juice. Oceana for lunch every day. We appreciated that the staff would serve my husband a hamburger, since he is not a fish lover. For dinner, you will not be disappointed with Portefino at Secrets or Da Marios or El Patio at Sunscape Sabor. Since this is our 6th stay at Secrets, we have made many friends at the resort who recognize us when we return and remember our favorite dishes and drinks. Room service has a great menu when you are too tired to head out to dinner. Some of our friends that we have made at Secret over the years as well as some new friends that have done an excellent job at making our vacation relaxing. Adela has done an excellent job serving us at the beach and pool area. Adrian at Oceana/Windows remembers our favorite lunch and always has a tea with lime ready for me when we dine. Enrique (long time favorite) and Santiago (new friend) at the lobby bar have gone above and beyond to make sure we enjoy our drinks. Angel, our server at Bordeaux always remembers us with a smile on his face. Our nightly visit to Coco cafe, we look forward to seeing Teresita who always happy and brings a smile to our face. Our lady that kept our room clean was Guadalupe. She did a spectacular job and was always very pleasant. Thank you to Jose, the grounds keeper who has always been very polite the last few years and engages in conversation after some of m morning walks/runs. This time I was able to put a name to the face of my favorite grounds keeper. Cynthia in the lobby/reservations has always taken care of us and we look forward to our return trips and she welcomes us by saying “Welcome Home.” SInce Oceana was closed for remodeling in June, unfortunately, we were not able to see two of our favorite waiters (Marcos and Margarito) as often as we would have liked. But we are looking forward to our return trip in the next year to see all of our friends at Secrets.

    Paradise in the Caribbean

We just returned from Secrets Aura and had a fantastic time! Our friends and us stayed 7 days and had a blast. We were in a preferred room with tropical view but pretty everyone in our section had a view of the Sea. We had pool bar dedicated to all preferred guests with a great bartender in Rafael. The staff at this resort is top notch. Those who stood out as exemplary were Marcos at the Market Cafe, Franklin the bartender at Desires nightclub, our maid Entafinas and Angel at the preferred lounge. This resort is haven for those who like snorkeling as you can snorkel right from the beach or you also book dive trips and they pick you up in the boat from the pier at the resort. The spa and food are also excellent. This resort is small and easy to get around and you are always greeted warmly by everyone. We highly recommend this all inclusive and suggest getting the preferred package due to the upgraded room, drinks and lounge.

    2.5 star resort at best!!

I don’t know where to start!? I’ve stayed in about 80% of the island/resort towns in the Caribbean.. If you’ve ever been to a 5 Star resort or another secrets resort.. this resort is a huge disappointment! The upgraded rooms are 3.5 -4 star. The regular rooms are a 2.5 at best. We had both rooms so I have solid opinion. The Los Cabo secrets resort is a real 5 star resort. Food 5 stars, rooms 5 stars, entertainment/activities 5...resort as a whole 4.5 stars. The only downfall is there’s no beach you can swim in.. it’s just picturesque. That and they substitute some of the high end liquor for cheaper liquor. Cozumel secrets in comparison: food 2 star. Resort 2 star. Beach 4 star. (A bit rocky but clean, calm, clear water!) service 3.5 star, entertainment/activities 2 Star. I came for my 1 year anniversary.. I was extremely disappointed! If you’re looking for a luxury resort Do not stay here! Actually do not stay on Cozumel. Stay in playa or river maya! Way better! Then go to one of the snorkeling/adventure parks for snorkeling etc! If you’ve never been to a 5star resort you may not know the difference but if you have you’ll be very disappointed!
