Shut it down immediately! The grounds of this resort is beautiful ! But once you check in your room.. bugs .. dust.. mold..broken A/c broken fans. No shower curtains . And when I presented my issues to staff I was advised to” Contact Bahia the corporate office , your money was not paid to the front desk “. I was treated very poorly at this resort . I checked out early due to the dissatisfaction. Two of my family members begin to get sick . Bahia principe Jamaica needs a face lift immediately.

Sub-par experience plus Privilege Club scam

Visited with my wife in November 2020 for our honeymoon. The initial service was underwhelming and the room had a persistent draft, especially on the first night. We stayed for four nights and the service fluctuated between being good at times to barely acceptable. The food was good most times but there was not much of a beach to enjoy (shallow and stony in parts). Most of the daily fun was at the pool and they had nightly events. Overall, I gave them three stars for the service. But what has left a very bad taste in my mouth is the offer of membership to the so-called Bahia Principe Privilege Club. At best, it is a way to funnel people from the Bahia Grand to the Bahia Luxury (although the Luxury side was closed at the time). In hindsight, I think they give you sub-par service at the Grand so they can try to sell you a "Privilege Club" membership to better service at the Luxury (and other hotels in the RCI program). Sounds like a good plan, except that it turned out to be a scam. First of all, the Privilege Club presentation took five hours, at least, out of our vacation time. It sounded like a good deal, so we were foolish enough to stick around and then sign their contract. Imagine my shock when I tried to use the so-called "privileges" a few months later, only to find out that what I was told by the sales rep misrepresented what was in the contract. Speaking of the contract, it is not very explicit in telling you exactly what you are getting, so the rep, in my experience, used that vagueness to tell us what he thought we wanted to hear. Now that we have recognized there is no real benefit of becoming a Privilege Club member, we are being told we can't get back the money that was spent. In addition, the Privilege Club wants us to sign a contract that prevents us from sharing our experience online. I am beyond disappointed and upset that Bahia Principe, a seemingly reputable brand, would be part of this scam. If you are vacationing here and someone approaches you about attending a presentation, don't walk, run! If you have already been offered and wondering if you should sign up, don't! It is now that I am doing my research I realized that so many people have been ripped off, and Bahia Principe is still allowing this to go on. If I could have given them a negative rating, I would have.

My stay was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and kind. I mean all of them which says a lot. My butler Patrice was very helpful, she keep me informed of all the lunch and dinner options as well as my activity options. She was very responsive and even took the time to make sure I got home safely!! The entertainment was everything as well. From the Pool Rashad was def born to MC to the night entertainment Calvin knows how to entertain the crowed. I will def stay here again!

I arrived on May 9th. Check-in was at 3pm and we didn't access the room until almost 5pm. We immediately asked for a late check-out and that wasn't followed on, even though we were advised the matter would be escalated. Upon getting in the room, and inspection of the bath tub, I realized it wasn't cleaned properly and wasn't cleaned until the next day rather than immediately. The wifi connection was poor in the room and took a while to connect to my 2 devices (there is a limit on the number of devices you are allowed to connect). The bed as lopsided and though I requested a change for 2 double beds no one followed up on the request. The food variety was very limited and there wasn't much flavour in many of the dishes. While the the front desk staff were polite some were not very helpful. As a matter of fact, during my stay calling the receptionist desk was a nightmare! The lines rang without an answer on most occasion. I will say the waiters were very polite and tried to make our experience in the crowded dining area less stressful. Overall the experience was disappointing. It's my opinion that the service level has fallen tremendously and there is no value for money. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
