Wrong charges on Credit Card - Debt collector mail six months later !

Companion36496762596 on May 10, 2024

The Cosmo was the best hotel on the strip. Since they decided to be bought by MGM, things have gone down steadily. In December 2023, I spent 4 nights at the resort. I used 2 items from the mini-bar. When I left the hotel, I was charged over $130 for items I had not used. I reached out to the hotel, which apologized profusely, and they reversed the charges on my credit card. Six months later, I receive a letter from a collection agency requested this amount to be paid. I now have to deal with this collection agency. Needless to stay, I don't think I'll stay again at the Cosmo.

Over priced with awful noise

SirStick (San Francisco, California) on May 09, 2024

I've stayed at 11 places on the strip, this ranks about 10th. The in-person staff were great, bellmen, front desk, valets all really nice. The rest is a mess. Major issue: The music from Marquee blasts to the entire southern half of the hotel from 10am to 3am. It was so loud that with the doors closed and the shades drawn I could here the actual words of the songs. It was intolerably loud and lasted until 3am every night. I'm not an old lady clutching my pearls, I was out until 1-2am drinking and still couldn't stand it. The room wasn't pleasant to be in day or night and was bad enough on its own that I'd never consider staying here again. Disappointing issues: Everything with Identity was broken -I never got emails to confirm my checkin or after my checkout -None of my table play was counted towards my loyalty program -None of my hotel stay (I booked direct online through my Identity login) was counted towards my loyalty program I don't understand how any reasonable gambler plays here. Mild issues: One of the TVs was broken (its fine I don't watch TV) The shower head was broken (it was fine the water still turned on) This hotel was charging hundreds of dollars above other hotels near by and delivered a busted room with awful ambiance and zero loyalty points. I hope MGM turns this place around.

A great stay!

Having read some of the reviews on T.A, we were slightly nervous about staying at The Cosmo. Any fears were totally unfounded as we had a fantastic family stay (teenage boys 12 and 14). The room was very spacious and luxuriously fitted out. Nice and quiet as we stayed on the 50th floor in the Chelsea Tower. I can see how the Boulevard Tower might be much noisier with the Marquee day and night club, so look out for that one! A small mix up over parking charges was cleared up once we spoke with the concierge supervisor. Lots of food and drink options and the hotel is beautifully decorated. Very well equipped fitness and pool tables located in the Boulevard pool area (good for teenagers). Really liked the location of the hotel on the strip with easy access to Las Vegas Boulevard and shops via the pedestrian bridge or G/F exit by Starbucks. Would definitely recommend and return Tips *Allow ample time to check in and check out as can get busy *Join the Identity loyalty scheme (online) for small casino allowance and $15 off Cosmo restaurant snack bar * Use the boulevard pedestrian bridge to go to Walgreens or ABC store in Miracle Mile shopping centre for cheaper drinks or snacks * The room has a separate fridge for any of your drinks or snacks *The queue foe Eggslut (cafe) is large earlier in the morning but quietens down towards lunchtime

Cosmopolitan 2 Nighter

FredC82 (Orleans, Michigan) on May 03, 2024

The Cosmopolitan is what it says it is. Very nice, higher end Vegas resort. We had a Terrace Studio King facing the fountains. Room was in excellent condition with everything being what you would need. Terrace is just amazing. Gaming is abundant, table game minimum tends to be a little more. Lots of choices for food options.

Hotel blamed us for man getting into our room and puking in our bed

Venture11738350446 (Omaha, Nebraska) on Apr 28, 2024

Weird experience. We came back to the room and found a man in our bed. He threw up in it too. The hotel had to have security and police come and they said this has never happened before. We were up all night talking to security, the front desk and switching rooms. Not one person apologized and they offered drink comps. We were leaving at 6:00 am and we couldn’t use that. They blamed us saying we must have left the door open and refused to comp any of the hotel costs. The next morning our friend tried the door and it opened. Broken handle that sticks sometimes so not our fault. These are heavy doors that shame shut and I have video showing how bad it is. Do not stay there and it smelled so bad all over when it used to smell so good and be well ventilated.
