The resort was incredible, beautifully landscaped and clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and the dining experience was wonderful at every restaurant. There was so much fun stuff to do that was included in the price it was a great trip.

Sadly just back from the Halcyon. We had an amazing trip our room was beautiful the new lazy river is peaceful and so very pretty. I would like to mention 2 members of staff that made our stay second to none and I hope the Sandals let's them know . Arabella the breakfast Chef normally at the omelette station. What a wonderful person she is . Always cheerful big welcoming smile and remembers you . Just an all round lovely young lady . Also I hope I reminded your name correctly Justina in the shop. Couldn't have been more helpful when my husband had a bit of a sunburn incident. All the staff were lovely but these to ladies just stood out for me and my husband . Hopefully be able to return to the Halcyon as so far it has been by far our favourite.

We stayed in a Butler room with a small private pool. We did the Wet and Wild Tour. Butler: It was our first time here and we definitely would have missed a lot if we didn’t have the tips from the butlers. I highly recommend booking a room with a butler for the insight as well as it was the “cherry on top” not having to worry about getting up early to claim “our spot” on the beach. The butler reserved our beach place each day, made our dinner reservations for us, brought us meals and snacks on the beach, as well as confirmed our escursion and transports. Totally worth the extra cost. Food: The food was great as well, I highly recommend the BBQ night on Monday nights as well as the cultural lunch. Our favorites from the Bistro were the quesadilla and the burger. We also visited the Bombay Indian restaurant at Sandals Grande, this is a must-do- it was probably my favorite meal of the trip. Excursion: The Wet and Wild was incredible. The sulfur bath was neat but the snorkeling was our favorite part becasue the fish were beautiful. The buggys were a lot of fun to drive, it will definitely push your standard transmission driving skills ;) Water Sports: Ride “Big Mabel” at least once. Wakeboarding in the Caribbean ocean was breathtaking. For a fun time (and a laugh or two) learn to sail the Hobie Cats, they are a load of fun. What they don’t tell you: -The airport is the worst part of the entire week. It is way undersized for the amount of people they shuffle through. You will wait in line a while upon entry and when you depart, you will be standing shoulder-to-shoulder with a few hundred others for a while (without air conditioning). -Avoid the guys in the orange shirts at the airport- they will move your bags 50 or 60 feet for you but then will ask for a tip. They are quite pushy too and will be upset when you don’t fork over some cash. Bring sunscreen. They prices of things are almost double US prices wherever you go. -The beaches are public so there will be merchants trying to sell you things occasionally. They are nice guys but will try to sell you things that they “hand make” which you can buy for cheaper at the airport or a local store. They will also ask for drinks from your cooler. We requested the cabanas farthest from the main pool becasue they don’t come down that way as often. Your butler will also deal with them if you let them know that you don’t want to be bothered. -Order the Halcyon Paradise, Frozen.

We visited this resort for the fifth time in March this year although this was not our original intention as the resort has undergone some major changes, and a refurb and we were worried the resort would lose its original character. Nothing could be further from the truth, as the addition of a lazy river has been added so well that it appears as though it has been there forever. The planting as always was outstanding and it would be easy to take photographs all day of the surrounding greenery. The river pool was lovely and warm and it was very quiet . Situated outside the Hideaway rooms which have always been a favourite spot for us . Kelly’s or (the Pier) as was known has had a modern facelift and works well. Food is of a good standard . Marios the Italian restaurant ‘s antipasti still hits the spot although has been down scaled from previous years . The beauty of Halcyon is also the location between the other two Sandals owned resorts . The flexibility of facilities restaurants bars gardens pools jacuzzis etc is endless. Each of the resorts so vastly different but each with their own personality . As Gordon’s at The Grande is no longer just Butler we visited twice . The venue over the water was stunning and the meals we had there were fabulous with great attention to detail and wonderful staff. It is a longer drive from the airport than you may want after a long haul flight to visit Halcyon but worth the effort . The scenery on the way and people watching is so interesting and a return trip by helicopter is a wonderful way to finish if you have any funds left and allows a little longer at the resort in your final day. All in all I still thoroughly recommend this slice of heaven to anyone who needs To relax but with options to do whatever you want being available if required. I arrived after months of ill health and you helped me to feel so so much better, so thank you again every one of the Halcyon Team.

St: Lucia has everything you want. Just like they say, stay at one and play at three. We liked Halcyon the best as it was quieter than the other two and we liked the smaller resort. The rooms were awesome. We had a beach front walk out and we just loved it. So clean they keep this resort and all the people were so friendly. The service is over the top. The food was great and there were so many choices each day. We are definitely Sandals fan and will always book another trip.
