I have been a member since 2020as a Elite member. In August 2023 I return to Sun Palace where I was introduced to go to the membership review meeting which I agreed to. On August 18th I went to this meeting where they completely threw their previous sales rep who I purchased my initial membership from under the bus. After listing to what they mentioned was not a good deal they presented a solution/option that I agreed to take. Again no mentioned of my rights to make changes or cancel if I needed. At point of signing I specifically asked what I I return home and decided that this wasn't good , "would I be able to do so?" She recommended "YES" but she recommended that I inform them before I leave mexico. On August 24th I checked in to the Grand Moon Palace where my trip continued to go down the hill. First I showed up at the airport and was completely overlooked by Juan who was in charge of who goes on the shuttle to the hotel. I later checked in to the hotel and discovered the the one of my room out of seven was not the same as promised, I was upset. I went to their diamond lounge and spoke with Fatima. I express my frustration and no effort was made to resolve my concerns hence I ask to cancel my upgrade which was a few days ago, 6 days to be exact. She advised me that my request is noted and she'll have someone reach out to me to assist with my request which never happened and I spent 10 days there. I had a party of 19th people and I made spa appointments for everyone ahead of time only to show up at the spa with everyone and there was no appointments for us after having a conversation with Jorge almost 2 months before my arrival. Thank God for Lizeth who assist us.
After I return home to the US on August 3rd, I reached out to Moon Palace and again express my dissatisfaction and my desire to cancel my upgrade and return to my previous membership with a refund of my down payment and that's when I discovered that these people has no integrity and they are only after you money.
After denying my request constantly I decided to hire a lawyer from Mexico to handle the matter and of course that's when I discovered the 5 DAY LAW. Be aware and don't fall for it. They are full of empty promises and they are no real difference between being a member of not, and there's definitely no difference between any of the memberships offer excfor diamond. I have 4 other vacation club membership and the makes you feel like you're apart of something instead trying to dig more and more money out your pocket. They also have the nerves to still try to proceed with monthly drafts from my account after I instructed them specifically to discontinued. Please please be aware

Review of The Grill restaurant and our waiter Juan Carlos. Our ribeye steaks were even better than JCs Steakhouse, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was simply amazing. Attentive, knowledgeable and personable. Best service we have had this trip. The Mayan coffee Juan Carlos made was delicious. Highly recommend. Don't miss this one!
