Haven Riviera Cancun was a wonderful experience!

Haven Riviera Cancun was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, especially at the Mediterranean restaurant, and the service was even better. We loved our maid Lorena, who was very kind and wrote us sweet notes. One of our waiters, Enrique, remembered our names and orders for breakfast. Get the orange juice, it tastes like it’s fresh squeezed. Julian, Moses and Ernesto were three poolside waiters who made a big impression on us. Very friendly, remembered us each day, never leaving us in want for a drink. Gaby was our butler and she made sure our stay was excellent with dinner reservations every night and activities every day. We loved it! 10/10 would recommend.
Relaxation beach days with a waiter who made my experience great!

This is my 3rd all inclusive I’ve stayed at in Cancun in the last 3 months and the resort didn’t disappoint. The room was large, modern and comfortable, but is showing signs of wear. I paid for Serenity level room to have access to private restaurants, pools and a butler. This was worth it for the restaurants and private pools. They have a Serenity lounge for guests which always has food and drinks available, but the drinks were inconsistent and lackluster in the lounge. As a Serenity club member you are entitled to premium liquor, however they never had the tequila that was considered premium. Other bars did when pressed, but not in the lounge serving Serenity members??? The butler service really is there to just make your dinner reservations, so don’t expect a higher level service you may get at other resorts where they bring you food, drinks and escort you to dinner. The food was at times very good but inconsistent. Breakfast was good at Tahani and Vistas (go for a relaxing breakfast with a great view). My favorite dinner was the Teppanyaki at Satsu. I ate there 3 times because it was always good and consistent. My favorite meal was the fresh fried fish and Ceviche on the beach in the Serenity club area by Tahani. This was where my trip was made special by Acxel, a bar waiter who went above and beyond every day. Acxel made sure I had amazing drinks and great food with the help of Chef Angel Lopez. Acxel gave me a luxury experience that made me feel he was our private butler. Overall, I would return to this resort but would definitely want a swim out room in the Serenity club area. I was always able to find a beach bed to lounge on and found the staff was friendly and appreciative.
Nice experience

The resort itself was very nice! The coffee shop was yummy and the ice cream there too. There were some yummy desserts and some not so good. Our favorite restaurant was the Asian called Satsu. Both the habachi dinner and the regular dinner were REALLY good. The other restaurants were just okay. The least favorite was the Italian. The beach was okay. There was a lot of garbage in the beach which really sucked but I know that’s not a resort issue. I loved the day beds and the service to the day beds. We loved Tahani restaurant for breakfast and the Vistas (pretty view while eating!). Our favorite place to lounge was in the serenity club area near Tahani. We got a day bed and had Acxel deliver food and drinks to us. We had the BEST fish and chips we have ever tried (catch of the day). Acxel was very attentive and made our last day special by bringing us fun drinks to try in addition to what we asked for and the chef, Angel Lopez, and Acxel prepared a nice meal with a delicious ceviche and our fave fish and chips. One of the highlights of the trip! The resort could use more day activites. All they had was an old ping pong table, large chess, and an old darts game. We had fun playing those and wish there was a little more of that. The pools were nice. The main pool (party pool) always had something going on and music! We enjoyed the quiet serenity pools. Our room was very large and spacious! Loved the layout and the balcony with ocean view was just great. The cleaning staff, Francis, did an excellent job with our room and she would make fun animals with the towels. Such a small fun detail that would put a smile on our faces when we would return. There was a lounge specific for serenity club members. Although I wish they had better alcohol quality to offer there, if people are paying extra. It would also incentivize more people to book serenity over regular. The grill time with burgers and hot dogs was great! Loved the burgers. We went to Olios for dinner one night and their crab salad was underwhelming. We had heard such great things about this restaurant by reading other reviews but I think I chose the wrong meals. It was just okay. Presentation on the food was great. I ordered the baked salmon and loved the salmon but didn’t like the sweet sauce. Wilbert was our waiter and he did an excellent job. He brought over rose petals to our table which was a sweet, romantic touch. One thing the resort can work on is desserts. We are such dessert people and none of them were great. Overall a fun relaxing trip.
Very nice resort — with a few caveats

Haven Riviera Maya is only 15 minutes from CUN airport, down a long private road. It’s not part of the hotel zone, and as a result it has a very secluded, quiet atmosphere. We stayed three nights in a Serenity level swim-out room. When you are out in your patio or swim out pool, waiters pass by about every half hour and will bring you any drink you want. The resort grounds are very well kept, clean, and easy to get around. We had some bad things about our room — a broken coat hook, barely hanging on vanity mirror covered in dust, smeared stains on the wall in front of the toilet, and several burned out light bulbs. We reported these to the resort via the app’s chat but got no response. We tried numerous restaurants with mixed results. The Mexican steakhouse has a gorgeous view at sunset but we were caught in the mosquito fog, then bitten by numerous mosquitoes. The ribeye was fatty and chewy. We had dinner another night at Satsu’s Teppanyaki table which was tasty and fun to watch. Our final night was the romance package dinner at Vora Mar; our waiter Martin was wonderful but the food was not at all good. Very salty potatoes that tasted like instant, soup that tasted like canned. For lunches we loved the buffet at Flavours (actually preferred to Serenity restaurant Tahani’s breakfast). They had MANY options and it was all good. We went to Moons Cabaret two nights, and the games and shows were extremely fun. Drinks in Moons were very weak. We went to the spa and 10/10 recommend doing that. We did the hydro circuit plus saunas, mud masks, roman bath, and facials. It was very relaxing and definitely needed after a night of too much indulgence. Overall we would return! But knowing now, we’d avoid a couple of the restaurants. Serenity package is definitely worth the additional cost.
Fantastic

It was fantastic. The hotel was amazing. The personnel was very welcoming. The amenities were on fleek. I will definitely come back especially because of Charlie, Lucy and Martin at the Italian restaurant they were so great, humane, welcoming, loving…
