Horrible! Sebastian with the tours and appointments desk was very rude and Jan the presentation rep lied so many times!! We literally wasted over half of our day dealing with them!!! The resort itself is 3 stars, the food was mediocre not many options on the buffet, all they do is try to get you to buy in to their vacation club and when you say no their whole demeanor changes and they treat you like crap.

Awesome resort! We stayed at the older hotel and the view was amazing! The staff was friendly and welcoming also! A+A+A+ . We ended up buying into the resort also! Great price also! A few things the room needs, wash cloths, hand towels, working phone. The view of the room was fantistic!! Great shopping within walking distance. And night club if that is your thing!

Great location, right on the best beach in cancun, close to party area, walking distance. Downside: hotel is old, needs renovations and restaurants not the best.

My wife and I went back to Cancun after some time. And we decided to stay at the crystal. Cancun, a property? I had stayed at many years ago. The property is basically the same as it was then a little dated. But nonetheless elegant and old school, Mexico in its own way, when we arrived, I alerted the reception agent that I had booked the luxury room ocean view with the breakfast included, he proceeded to give us a room on the 4th floor which I did not like when I entered the room. It smelled musty, and the view was of the roof of the beach cabana, where they distribute the towels. I went back to reception and asked for another room. He then gave us a room on the 8th floor on the far end of the building, which was simply spectacular. See the photos attached. I was so pleased. I went down to the lobby and gave him a $20 US tip. The breakfast was very, very good. That was included in the reservation. They had an omelet station, fresh fruit and just about everything else. You could want, including some Mexican specialties like chilaquiles and fajitas. You could literally had sat there until it was almost lunchtime.If you wanted to the beach is beautiful and sargassum free.The pool although crowded was very refreshing as well.I would definitely consider this hotel when I return to cancun in the future

Stayed here for one night and honestly, it wasn’t great. Check-in was a mess; super long wait, and they kept assigning us the wrong room type. By the time it got sorted, they said they were “sold out” of the room we actually paid for (we arrived at 6pm…), so we ended up stuck in a ground-floor room with no view and loud noise from near lobby area. The beach itself is nice, but it’s a very popular public spot, so it was pretty crowded. The room felt really outdated and not very clean or comfortable. To top it off, when we turned on the faucet, the water came out orange… which was pretty concerning. Even our kids were complaining about how bad the stay was, which says a lot. Not really sure how this place has such positive reviews.
