Do not stay here! It is old and musty! The food is not good and the service was average at best. No one offered to help with my bags and had to walk outside and downstairs in the rain. I do not recommend this place at all!
Good location, good staff, average food, room was bad

Location superb. Staffs are good; but sometimes difficult to communicate due to language. Italian food was not good. Seafood and Mexican restaurants are really good. Buffet items are almost same ( breakfast, lunch) everyday; that's we got bored.
Great staff

Average Hotel

We spent 6 nights at this property. This is not a 4 star property. Pros: 1. Nice oceanfront rooms with balcony 2. Most of the staff were friendly 3. Great night entertainment Cons and reasons I would not recommend or return to this or other affiliated Barceló properties: 1. Right at your arrival to the property you will be cornered to meet with their sales staff to sale you a “membership” (would not take no for an answer, felt cornered to meet with these people in order to book tours directly through the hotel). This is not ok to do to your guest at their arrival time. It really started our vacation on the wrong foot. 2. Food was basic at the buffet. Same type of food for every buffet, every day. Everyone has different palates, but this goes beyond that. It is lack of ownership to serve quality meals to save a buck. We experience more authentic food at the tours and excursions we made instead of the hotel. This said a lot about the quality you can expect. 3. Very challenging to get a reservation at the a la carte restaurants. We do not need a response to our review (no insincere apologies or excuses), instead please do better for your future guests and spend some funds in improving your food quality, stop cornering your guest into meeting your sales team (that is a trap that will discourage people from going to your properties). Your focus should be to make an experience that your guest will enjoy and would want to inquire about your membership. It will go along way.

service was cool. It was always hot in the hotel but it’s open. Bartenders were my favorite. Shouldn’t have to book a reservation for a restaurant you technically paid to go to already.
