Paradisus Cancun

ddswong (Toronto) on Feb 04, 2023

This was our 13th stay here and we absolutely love it. The service is great, the food is fantastic and we find every vacation at the Paradisus Cancun better than the previous one. We hope to return here again with more family members .

In real sense a Paradise at Paradisus

Prerana P on Feb 04, 2023

We had a great stay at Paradisus! Best part was the service, at the restaurants or kids club it was beyond amazing. I’ll like to mention Atilano, ignacionand Janeth specially who took really good care of us. Rooms are spacious, all inclusive part was the best ! Pur concierge Jennifer helped us arranging reservations and trips as well !! Its location is breathtaking! And the pools are never crowded!! We absolutely loved it and would come back again !!

Lemonfish …. great meal and experience.

Best sushi by far, excellent service and great modern vibes. Rafael and Alejandro are amazing waiters. They went over and above to make our experience an unforgettable one. They suggested an assortment of sushi for us to try and every bite was beyond delicious. Thank you so much.

Won't be back.....

Liz G (Los Angeles, California) on Feb 03, 2023

While this resort has amazing room views & some nice amenities (spa, multiple restaurant choices, etc) the hotel seems to be struggling with maintenance issues and an overall lack of staff training and consistency in service. I arrived with a large group of 6 well-travelled couples who are very familiar with all-inclusive resorts. For most places, this would've been an excellent opportunity to go out on a limb and wow us with service...not at Paradisus. Our size made it very difficult to obtain dinner reservations....even though most of the restaurants were almost empty when we managed to book. Concierge was virtually non-existent. Spa scheduling was limited to only 2 at a time. No turn down service even though the porter told us housekeeping would come by twice a day. A few of us (including me) experienced flooding in our rooms from mysterious causes to which the solution was to move out of the room - no bonus consolation offered. I also had a power outtage on one side of my room which I didn't pay too much attention to, but later reported. There was leaking from the rafters outside of our room as well which caused a safety hazard (my husband almost slipped multiple times). Our best foodie experience overall was at Lemon Fish. Capella's was nice, but service was average as the waiter seemed somewhat annoyed the whole time we were there. I personally was very irritated by the hard-sell tactics of resort management who invaded our pool time several times to upsell Melia. I understand they work on commission, but the insistence in having me attend a 1 hour sales session even after I expressed my displeasure was ridiculous. Improve your product before you try to sell me on it. I think this place had once been marvelous, but a lack of attention is certainly creeping it's way in. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Good stay and great buffet!

Lara H (Durham, North Carolina) on Feb 03, 2023

We enjoyed our time at this hotel, except that they couldn't give us connecting rooms as requested months in advance. My parents had to stay in a different tower and logistically that was hard, since there is a lot of walking among the buildings. Our concierge Ruth was great, very helpful and efficient. Only thing is we didn't like that she and her boss found us one afternoon on the beach to try to convince us for about an hour to attend a 45min talk about Melia resorts. We felt that they invaded our space and vacation. There were plenty of food options, but to be honest, none great quality, and in some, we payed additional for a specialty item that was ok. We did enjoy Malva buffet, and the waiters, especially in the morning were really attentive. We particularly recommend Orlando, he was very service oriented and always welcomed us with a small and fast, efficient service. Wonderful guy! We had the Reserve, and honestly it felt unfair that even oceanside beds were at an extra cost, $250 (Dec 2022). Overall a good stay, but probably next time we won't do an all-inclusive and will choose a different place.
