Great experience at Paradisus

We had a great time with family and friends at Paradisus. One of the highlights was the service we received from the staff at the buffet. Every morning Alfredo Alvaro and Ricardo and Manuel took such good care of us. On our daughters birthday they sang happy birthday and brought her a piece of cake and candle. They went above and beyond.

Best so far at paradisus, Cancun

The restaurant Lemon Fish located at the center of the big pyramid is so far our favorite. The ceiling fans give a perfect breeze. Atmosphere is perfect. Privacy by good spacing. Starting with spicy edamame l. Ceviche with shrimp and Peruvian ceviche were good. I had black tuna sushi that was special and sashimi. Rice finally well prepared and good sticky. Jorge Ramos our waiter he was a 100% good server. Kind, fast and gave suggestions that were appreciated. We will return!

Terrible Service!

This has to be the worst resort we’ve ever stayed at in terms of service. Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready and we waited until 5pm! I travelled with a baby and a toddler and yet we were the last ones in our group to get a room. Once we got to our room we noticed we were given one king sized bed. We booked a king plus sofa bed for the kids. I was told to wait two days for a new room. Two days later they asked us to pack up our stuff and leave it in the lobby until the new room was available - I refused to do this with kids. The new room was supposed to be ready at 3pm - except new room was the same! One king bed for 4 people. I spoke to the management and asked them to have this sorted ASAP. They said they upgraded us for “inconvenience” & took us to a room with 2 doubles. My husband and I slept like dead bodies with no space to turn. We ordered coffee to the room and we were told it would be a one hour wait minimum. We asked for water bottles for the baby’s milk and waited over 2 hours - I asked the bar thinking it would be faster but 2 bars said they don’t have milk. The buffet is worse than prison food. If you enjoy grilled onions in 50 forms, this place is a jackpot for you. This is the worst experience and I would never return to this resort. Room cleaning woke us up at 8am in our “upgraded room” to clean? Woke the kids up for no reason Beautifully decorated & draped with greenery but that’s where your money goes. They tell you premium alcohol but 9/10 times we were told there is no Hennessy. Premium tequila is also unavailable. We are on day 3 of our 7 day trip and I can’t wait to get home.

Lemon fish!

Lemon fish at paradisus is so good. Excellent service from Jorge and Miguel and we ate here twice on our trip it was so good. They also went out of the way to get food items for our kids from other restaurants for us in the resort.

Wedding Anniversary

10 years ago we had the pleasure of staying at Paradisus La Perla for our honeymoon. The experienced that we had at that resort was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of amazing. As a result, we decided to take our 7 year old twin boys to Paradisus Cancun for our 10th anniversary. The experience was not what we expected. Although we’re still have 3 more days to go. I called to book the stay and I specifically told the Representative that this occasion was special and that I needed a bottle of champagne and some rose pedals as a surprise for my wife. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by two ladies who could careless about the reason for my stay and didn’t even bother to offer any refreshments as they did in Paradisus La Perla in Playa Del Carmen. Granted, I’m a member of the melia Club and that I payed extra to stay at the Reserve. I walked into a room where there was none of the things I requested. None whatsoever! Not even a balloon for my children. The worse part is the fact that I was in constant communication with the representative whom I specifically gave these recommendations to. It was a complete disaster. Not how I envisioned spending my anniversary with my family. On the other hand, at Paradisus La Perla the experience was completely 10 years ago we had the pleasure of staying at Paradisus La Perla for our honeymoon.
