We had a wonderful experience thanks to Stiven at the beach! He is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. He made sure we were comfortable, checked on us throughout the day, and always greeted us with a smile and positive energy. Stiven is one of those people who genuinely makes your vacation more enjoyable. His great attitude and excellent service really stood out. Thank you, Stiven, for taking such good care of us and making our beach days even better! Highly recommended! ??????????

Beautiful resort and outstanding staff — but a serious pigeon problem

Anikó W (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) on Sep 01, 2026

The resort itself is beautiful and the location is excellent. Most importantly, the staff were wonderful — everyone we met was kind, polite and genuinely tried to do their job to a high standard, especially Sebastian at the breakfast service and Jennifer at the restaurant. The food was also one of the highlights for us: there was a great variety and much of it was genuinely very good. The children’s and adult activities were excellent as well. We did have an issue with our room. We booked an ocean-view room, but the actual view was a very restricted side view, mainly facing another building. We raised this with reception several times. Unfortunately, on the first occasions we were repeatedly asked to come back later or the following day, without any real solution being offered. After three days, when we were seriously considering asking for our money back and leaving the resort, the situation was finally acknowledged and action was taken. We were moved to a suite, which was actually a higher category than the room we had originally booked, and we genuinely appreciated that resolution. For us, however, the biggest issue was the pigeon situation. This was not an occasional bird or two. There was a large and established population of common feral/city pigeons throughout the resort, with dozens regularly visiting the dining areas. At the snack bar in particular, we actually saw pigeons landing directly on food and even on the sandwich toaster. They were also regularly around the dining tables and buffet areas, sometimes in larger groups. What concerned us further was the cleaning afterwards. We saw a pigeon soil a chair, and when I checked the same chair again three days later, visible traces of the droppings were still there, despite the area apparently having been cleaned. I understand that pigeons are part of the urban environment in many parts of the Caribbean. What I do not consider acceptable, however, is having large numbers of them accessing food-service areas, food and food-preparation surfaces. For me, this is simply not acceptable at a five-star resort — and especially not at a Hilton-branded resort in the Caribbean. The staff genuinely tried to help by offering us the option of eating at a more upscale restaurant which had a lot less number of pigeons, and the waiters were very attentive. We really appreciated their efforts. However, this was ultimately a resort-wide environmental and pest-control issue rather than something the individual staff members could solve for us. In my view, the solution should be to actively prevent pigeons from accessing food and food-service areas, rather than simply offering guests alternative places to eat. Another, much smaller concern was the condition and clarity of the swimming pools. In several places, the pool surface was visibly deteriorating and pieces appeared to be coming away. More importantly, by the afternoon the water became so cloudy that in some areas it was difficult to see the bottom. I understand that these pools are heavily used throughout the day, but for a five-star resort I would still expect better water clarity and pool maintenance. It is genuinely frustrating, because without the pigeon issue, I would have rated this resort 5/5. The location is excellent, the food is very good, the activities are great, and the staff are genuinely outstanding. With the pigeon problem properly addressed, this could easily be an exceptional resort. That is why, despite all the things we genuinely loved about this resort, I cannot honestly rate it higher than 4/5 .
