I would not come here again.

razzasazza on Sep 28, 2024

It’s dated, service is average and they are extremely price gougey. Not nearly not NEARLY enough seating by the pool, kids pool seating smells like bacon and smoke and nowhere near anywhere that looks nice: cabanas are 500AUD per day, insane. It’s like they just want to gouge money for any small thing they can squeeze out of you. We arrived and our room was ready before official check in time but they charged us $100USD to get it early. I’ve never heard of such horrendous service if the room is ready. It attracts basic level of guest. Definitely don’t recommend coming here with children. The adults pool is slightly better but again they gouge you by not putting up enough umbrellas so you pay for the cabanas. Regret staying here, will not do it again.

Best Hawaiian Experience Ever

TdayAZ86 (Gilbert, Arizona) on Sep 26, 2024

As an Ambassador Elite member, I can sincerely say that this was the best welcome introduction of any Marriott I have stayed at while having that status. Truly appreciate it! This resort is incredibly busy, but the hotel did a fantastic job with answering any/all requests within a very timely manner. ALL staff members had a GREAT demeanor and personality! Literally, ALL! The customer service at this resort was some of the best I've ever experienced! Kudos to whoever at your resort is responsible for creating that type of atmosphere and culture with it's staff! From the moment you walk on-site at the entrance (valet), to the front desk staff, to the bell staff, to the staff that helps you locate packages, to the room cleaning staff, to pool staff, to security staff, and to the restaurant staff! Literally I was so fortunate to have GREAT interactions with ALL of your staff! That truly felt like what I learned 'Aloha' culture is all about. You'll see on my final bill, I ate 3 times a day almost every day at your restaurants. The staff was PHENOMENAL!! Once again, from the front welcome host staff to the wait staff, nothing but great interactions and great service. Thank you again for such a great experience! I will be back! Extremely Overpriced less than average hotel in a good location

Tatiana Z on Sep 26, 2024

Completely overpriced. Our first time in Hawaii I chose Sheraton Waikiki due to location as we are with newborn and two other kids aged 6and 9 and easy beach access is a must so older kids can roam around and access the rooms, the pool and the beach without crossing the road. Location is central to all shops and restaurants and is very convenient , I would say best on the beach. However! We hardly used the beach as it’s very hot and after paying nearly $1400 a night for two rooms to fit us we find out that beach beds are an extra $150 and free beds are only available in direct sun. Good luck enjoying your holiday with a newborn. We were kicked out from the grass by a staff member as palms and shade are reserved for Cabana guests that cost $350 a day! For someone that will be using the beds 3/4 hours at maximum this was a ridiculous price to pay. Extra for beds is ridiculous by default when you spend over 12k on your accommodation! Location is the only thing that is going for this place. Rooms are dirty, someone’s hair everywhere. Found hair in bedsheets and bathtub, dust all around. Felt quite gross sleeping here for 7 nights in this dirt. Our first night was in a two bedroom suite. The bathtub there has mould under the rims ?? I regret not taking a picture. The other 7 nights were in two diamond head rooms. The basins are clogged and Aircon is so loud it feels like you are on the aeroplane. A much wiser decision would be to stay in a hotel across the road somewhere for half the price and hire a car as there is better beaches (Lanikai for example) for kids around the island than dirty overcrowded Waikiki. Sheraton is 3 stars at best. No robes, tiny rooms, small closet that doesn’t fit even half of your clothes. Do not pay the price, choose something cheaper hire a car and explore the island. On our first day we checked in at 12 pm and the room was not ready. Although the staff pretty quickly fixed the room and we got our keys within like 5 minutes the reception attendant told us we had to wait till 3pm. For the second day he said we had to check out at 11 and stay without a room till 3 as that’s their check in time. I was puzzled again having spent nearly 2k AUD a night here to be told these things while travelling with a newborn. Again the next day we were actually given the rooms straight away without a gap but I do feel like not all reception attendants are nice or try make you feel welcomed. Just feels like u abide by our rules or else. Not pleasant. This experience left me not wanting to stay at any of the Marriott properties in the future to be quite honest.

Nothing Finer Than Sheraton Waikiki For My Visiting Toes

FabInSanFran (San Francisco, California) on Sep 25, 2024

It's my umpteenth stay over past 18 years at this wonderful Sheraton and every year the Staff are so welcoming and the Premises are amazing. Kudos to Jaime who met me in the check in line. He's worked there a lifetime and continues to offer warm smiles while waiting in line to check in. Thanks to concierge Tauri for her kindness and ideas on my former Honolulu self getting around town on the bus. My 22nd floor room overlooking Diamond Head and the ocean was pristine and abundant stars to Housekeeper Feng Ling who greeted me daily and organized my room in a pristine inimitable manner and always smiled during our hallway chats! My checkout was in person at front desk as I'd a question about the invoice and Gary explained it perfectly. Rooms are small but maximized and after all we're supposed to be out and about not living in our room. Bed and pillows rocked! Sunrise from my patio was awesome. Abundant thanks Sheraton Waikiki Management for employing these amazing awesome people who work hard and deliver Aloha to we guests. Whether you're a 1st time guest or a returning guest the experience is always stellar!
