I stayed in Aug with my family (2 kids aged 8 and 9). Overall stay loved it. Great hotel, lots of food options, pools amazing esp the wave pool. All staff are lovely. However it was 44-45 degrees this week, you could not sit on the deck chairs but had the deck chairs had umbrellas would have been amazing. You pay so much for a high end hotel only to then have to pay for day beds and cabanas which very in price most days 500-1000 dollars. Quieter days I saw 350 dollars. Given the temperature there should be umbrellas and more trees all around the resort! You literally want to go In pool but then you have to run into the beach bar as too hot to sit under direct heat. This was the biggest disappointment - you pay so much for the holiday only to sit in the bar because the kids don’t want to leave the pool, then your so far away you have no choice but to go under direct sun to watch the kids if not in pool with them.

Will not be returning ever to this hotel. Horrible service, no furniture in the lobby area to sit down, lots of delays. Payed the extra for early check-in, but it was basically a scam as the room was not ready. The Security was unhelpful and unprofessional.
Run down, old & Dingey

I honestly would not recommend Mandalay Bay if you are looking at this price point. There are other much better and cleaner hotels for the sameprice, although they might be slightly off the strip. The rooms are very rundown, the carpets are old and dingy, and the hallways smell like stale cigarette smoke. The pool is very overcrowdedand if you want a regular lounge chair under an umbrella, you have to reserve it for $250. Otherwise, you have to take a sunbed without an umbrella. Under the beating hot Vegas sun l, it’s just not enjoyable. there is no button for housekeeping so if you need to contact them, you have to go all the way down to the lobby. We did this to request new pillows because the inserts were yellow and gross. This request was never met.
