Disappointing, no basic things provided and a bit dirty
Mazhankaaaa (Hove, United Kingdom) on Apr 11, 2026
A rip off. Worst stay out of all hotels across our travels. No coffee in the room. Well, strictly speaking it’s available in the mini bar but it’s $18 for one (!). Also, as soon as you move an item you get charged for it as mini bar is sensor based. We had things fall out if mini fridge when you open - all of which were charged. Reception sorted it, but a but annoying given we didn’t take anything. No tv, unless you want to rent a movie (back to the 90s?). Lots of cafes but all overpriced and must queue. Facilities are nice, but again - given the volume of people there is not enough cleaning during the day with pools/beach looking a bit dirty as the day goes on. Oh, and bring your own floatie as no hotel ones provided for the lazy river. Pools quite cold. Massive queues at check in… All in all quite disappointing given it was a premium price so you’d expect premium service. However it felt like they were trying to catch you out every single step. Recommend you stay elsewhere because at least you’d be able to enjoy a properly heated pool. We fooled ourselves thinking the beach is worth it. But it’s just sand full of guest rubbish and cold water. Staff are doing their best, but management should be ashamed.

Watched MJ one at Mandalay Bay. Sadly had 2 guests being very disrespectful. Management quickly intervened and offered us 2 drinks vouchers. We didn’t complain but the level of service exceeded our expectations.
Great place but crowded

For the price Mandalay Bay is a great place to stay. Pool is completely overcrowded. Line for check in was no joke 200 people deep and the line for elevator took 30 min at least.

Do not go for the pool, we just left and it was a zoo, extreme chaos at the pool. People were arguing over chairs and others just put towels anywhere on the floor and laid there because theres not space. The lazy river was packed, so not fun and relaxing. The wave pool was so cold my kids stayed for 5 minutes at which time the lifeguard kept telling us to come in deeper or get out. The small hot tub ( sign says max of 15) had 40 kids in there! So not hygienic. We left the pool area within 20 minutes. I give 0 stars for the pool but 5 stars for the W room
Stay Away (from this hotel)

The check in experience? Horrible. If you want to skip the hours and hours long line to check in you will need to download and install an app for digital key (none of your confirmation emails will tell you this nor anyone on the reservations help line). Once you figure out the app don't try to share the key with other members of your party, because everyone at the hotel (except you) knows it doesn't work. Instead head down and wait in an equally long line to create your own room keys for your party. If you want to sepak with a human being at this hotel you will spend hours on hold. You will likely never see one without waiting in a long line or waiting on hold because they have replaced them with ridiciulous self-serve "technology" Don't bother calling the main reservations line for help because they are not familiar with how the app works, and even they can't reach the hotel front desk. WARNING do not try to put anything in the mini fridge or use it at all for yourself. They packed it full of $16 sodas and beers with no room for leftovers or healthy snacks - instead if you move anything in the fridge it will show up on your bill AND THEY WILL NOT FULLY REFUND YOU. They made $120 of erroneous charges on my bill, and after speaking with two concierge/front desk reps (after an hour hold each) they promised they would look into it and issue a refund. Nope. Stay away.
