Horrible Experience

lisset g on Apr 10, 2026

Check-in was quick and convenient, which we really appreciated. However, when we got to our room, there was a strong, unpleasant smell right away. As we started to unpack, I opened a drawer and found a bag with dirty underwear and socks inside. I want to be clear that I wasn’t upset at first—I understand that housekeeping staff work hard and can fall behind, especially in a busy hotel like those in Vegas. But as we continued checking the room, we found more issues. There were visible stains on the toilet, toothpaste left in the sink, trash still in the trash can, and dust on the nightstand. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. I called the front desk and was told a housekeeper would come up. After waiting about 40 minutes, no one arrived. I called again and was told someone would come “right away,” but another 30 minutes passed with no one showing up. At that point, I went downstairs to request a new room, but they were fully booked. Since it was getting late, I asked if someone could at least change the sheets. I was told this would be done immediately, but again, no one came. We eventually went to sleep, and in the morning, we found the clean sheets left outside our door. I understand that mistakes happen, and I don’t believe the hotel would intentionally assign a dirty room. However, the customer service was very disappointing. Promises were made multiple times and not followed through. We were also told we would receive a partial refund of our resort fees, but that never happened. Overall, the lack of follow-through and cleanliness made for a frustrating experience.

Planet Hollywood: Mystery Charges Included

Misha S on Apr 09, 2026

So let me get this straight—booking a vacation at Planet Hollywood is less like checking into a hotel and more like enrolling in a surprise subscription service you never agreed to. I paid for my trip in full upfront through JetBlue—you know, like a normal person who assumes “paid” means… paid. Silly me. Upon arrival, I’m warmly welcomed with a $250 deposit, which I’m now convinced is less of a “hold” and more of a heartfelt donation to the hotel’s mystery fund. Spoiler alert: don’t expect to see that money again. But wait, there’s more! Every day came with cute little phantom charges of $12.30, like a daily horoscope—except instead of predicting your future, it slowly drains your bank account. Then, for the grand finale, a $57 charge on the last day, just to keep things exciting. Naturally, I called their billing department (yes, they exist—7am–3pm, very banker’s hours for a company that takes your money 24/7). I was reassured—promised, even—that all these charges were “just pending” and would fall off. Fast forward to today: $311 actually charged. Amazing plot twist. Didn’t see that one coming. Oscar-worthy performance, truly. At this point, your best bet is to call your credit card company and fight for your life—because Planet Hollywood certainly won’t fight for you. Honestly, the whole experience feels like dealing with those half-dressed performers outside the hotel—except at least they are upfront about what they want from you. Planet Hollywood? They just quietly help themselves. As for the hotel itself? Think “meh” with plumbing issues. Nothing special unless you’re lucky enough to get a decent view—which, let’s be honest, is probably also being charged somewhere behind the scenes. Would we come back? Absolutely… not.

Taking Money and NOT for families

Courtney W on Apr 08, 2026

We initially chose this hotel as a part of a vacation package because it was marketed as family friendly. It is not. The whole place smells like smoke. Every way you turn they find more ways to charge you. We were under the impression that we paid everything upfront, but there is an additional $62.50 per day resort fee with tax plus you have to pay for parking. $40 daily for valet plus tip or $25 per day self park. If you want a chair by the pool, you have to pay for that also. The pool closes at 5 each day. Check-in was a nightmare. We waited in line for an hour and forty-five minutes. The room was standard. No locks on the bathroom, which was frustrating being a mom of two little boys. The artwork in our room is half naked women. Housekeeping came at the weirdest times. Day 1 they came at 4:00 pm. One of my sons was napping so I asked to trade towels. They would not trade my towels unless I allowed them to clean the room unless I went to the front desk. Day 2 they came at 8:30 pm. One of my sons was already asleep. Day 3 was before 9 am. The front desk people were pretty rude. Valet tried to up-sale by getting him to park closer for an extra $20. We were staying here to go to the national parks. Justed needed a place to sleep. We will not be back and would never recommend to anyone with kids.

Great stay.would recommend.

Was originally booked on a lower floor, expressed desire for a higher room and they happily obliged. Room was clean and exactly what we wanted with a great view of the strip. Cafe hollywood offered a convenient and reasonable dining experience. Being hooked to the miracle mile shops made getting things easy. Parking fee of $20 a night seemed a little much given we were staying at the hotel and the proximity of the parking garage to the hotel itself.
