Current Stay — July 25, 2026 We are currently staying at the hotel and expected a higher level of service, particularly after upgrading to a more expensive suite. The shower water temperature has been extremely inconsistent—initially not heating at all, then fluctuating between hot and cold and requiring constant adjustment. Food quality also varies. While some restaurants are better, the Italian restaurant was below average and did not meet the standard we expected. Check-in, however, was excellent, with the staff being very attentive and welcoming. Good service from staff in general. Overall, the experience has not matched the quality or value we expected from the hotel.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana was an incredible experience from start to finish. We stayed for four nights and truly could not have asked for better hospitality, food, or amenities. Upon arrival, our concierge, Mari, made us feel so welcome and explained everything we needed to know for the next four days. She is wonderful at her job—friendly, personable, and so much fun to talk to. Our room was beautiful, with an amazing view of both the resort and the ocean. It was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, replenishing fresh towels and turning down the room every evening before bed. The resort always had something going on. Each day, they provided an itinerary with activities, making it easy to plan your day. There were plenty of fitness classes, arts and crafts, games, and entertainment to keep everyone busy. Now, the food—absolutely amazing. During our stay, we had dinner at The Tempest, Noodle & Thread, Waves Steakhouse, and Brando’s. Every meal was excellent, but Waves Steakhouse was our favorite. The steak and beef tenderloin were outstanding. We also loved The Pier buffet and Shutters for breakfast and lunch. The pools were beautiful, clean, and never felt overcrowded. The swim-up bars were fantastic, along with all the other bars throughout the resort. A special thank you to MayBey at Shutters, Christopher at the Rum Bar, and the bartender at the Martini Bar for their outstanding service and entertaining personalities. We’d also like to recognize Alfred, Manuel, and Daniel from the entertainment team. They brought so much energy to the resort every day and were genuinely kind and welcoming. The weather was another pleasant surprise. Although rain was in the forecast every day, it never actually rained. We enjoyed sunshine and warm temperatures throughout our entire stay. The only minor downside was that we didn’t realize July is Punta Cana’s seaweed season. The ocean had quite a bit of seaweed, so it wasn’t the crystal-clear turquoise water we had imagined. That said, this is simply a seasonal occurrence and not the resort’s fault. We’ve heard that December through March offers the clearest water, so we may plan a Christmas trip next time! Overall, this resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff, accommodations, dining, entertainment, and overall atmosphere made for an unforgettable vacation. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious getaway. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special!

The property was beautiful, the staff is amazing, the spa is one of the best I have ever experienced, food was just ok (not enough flavor for my liking). I would be careful around water use (bottled water is offered everywhere and you should consider brushing your teeth with bottled water as well as you could end up with gastro issues). I did not like the fact that there was a lot of upselling occurring throughout my stay. Overall I would give the experience an 8/10 and I would return to the resort

My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at the hotel. The hospitality of the staff, the ambience, the food, the drinks everything was so much better than I expected. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience overall that allowed my wife & I to relax to at maximum capacity. Atmosphere & environment really were at a premium, location is great for a typical touristic spot. For the price being paid, you receive great value in return. Service was top notch especially the day to day staff roaming amongst the resort. One particular waiter who we had the pleasure of encountering a few times Modelin was very curtious, helpful, polite & extremely kind in his service & assistnance taking orders & greeting us when he did see us each time. Definitely enhanced the experience in how we viewed our interaction & make things that much more please
