The best all-inclusive choice in Dominican Republic
Seattleguy000 (Seattle, Washington) on Sep 16, 2023
This resort was excellent for an all-inclusive resort and is the best option in the Dominican Republic. The food is very good (except for the Italian Restaurant) - just don’t expect Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton quality at any of the restaurants. The service is very good and the hotel is very well maintained. Guests at Hyatt Zillara can use the water park at Hyatt Ziva next door - this is the nicest water park at a hotel that I’ve ever seen. We went to Secrets Cap Cana immediately after our stay here. Hyatt Zillara had much better food, better service, and didn’t push us to join a “vacation club” like at Secrets. If choosing between Hyatt Zillara and Secrets, the clearly better choice is Hyatt Zillara.

Resort was great and staff was amazing. Had breakfast with Ruth A. at the pier restaurant most days and she was great. Food and drinks were also delicious. Overall a great trip where hospitality was phenomenal.

Beautiful resort, excellent food and great staff! Make sure you find Arturo, one of the activities directors. He was so much fun and got everyone involved in all the activities. Also, our butler, Luis was great. Whatever we needed he was very attentive. Even sent wine and chocolates to our room one night without us even asking for it.
Second stay and just as great the second time around.

This our second time to stay at the Zilara Cap Cana and it didn’t disappoint. You will not find a better place to spend a week relaxing. The food, entertainment, rooms, staff and amenities are all exceptional!! The food is fantastic lots of variety and anything you could possibly want. Our favorites this time were Journeys and Waves. Duran our waiter at Waves went above and beyond. The steak was excellent and plenty of it. Since the food and service were so good we are going again tonight and we usually never eat the same place twice. I found a new favorite dish for breakfast Mangu a Dominican dish with red onions on top and an egg. So delicious. Staff was also very good. Joanne at the club pool bar kept us in drinks and Francisca and Maria kept us well hydrated at our chairs. Miguel the pool concierge was there every day covering our chairs with towels and making sure we lacked for nothing. Lots of smiles, sun and an occasional massage by the ladies from the spa. The entertainment was also well done! Shows, singers, rum tasting just to name very very things of entertainment. Myra did an excellent job of getting people involved and having a great time! We lacked for nothing!! So if you are looking for a great place to vacation this is it look no further. We had fun filled relaxing days and we did not even scratch the surface of all the things to do at the Zilara. The rooms are spacious the beds very comfortable and it is so quiet that an afternoon siesta is always a great idea. The rooms are cleaned daily and they even have turn down services. We will be back for sure.
Exceptional All-Inclusive; Incredible Staff

We spent a week at the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, our first visit to the property but likely not our last. We were initially drawn to the location due to its diversity and quality of food offerings, but what solidified this as a favorite vacation spot was the beautiful grounds, fantastic staff, room quality, the GYM, and the engaging entertainment offerings. As hoped, the food set a higher bar for all-inclusives. Being able to access both the Zilara and Ziva restaurants provided ample food options, which we really appreciated. We were underwhelmed with the Italian and Caribbean restaurants, but the Steakhouse, Asian, and Indian restaurants were magnificent. Lunchtime poolside pizza was also a go-to. No complaints at all on the drinks, although sometimes it helps to specify if you’re looking for a stronger drink. The resort grounds, amenities, and rooms were beautiful and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the gorgeous collection of plants and landscaping. The resort gives modern, elegant vibes. The gym is nicer than any gym I’ve used before, with a size that revivals many standalone gyms, and is a true resort benefit. We loved the pool area, but only piece of constructive feedback is that the water seemed to be over-treated; our bathing suits turned very yellow, and residual chemical pellets can be found in some parts of the pool in the morning. In terms of staff, there were so many that went above and beyond for us routinely, that took time to make our time special. Of note: Gleny at Gabriella’s was amazingly hospitable, friendly, and talented at mixing creative drinks. She’s an asset to the team and we always looked forward to seeing her! Marino at the Waves Bar was also incredibly kind, conversational, and made some excellent drinks during the heat of the day. Natalie at Deja Brew was always busy but also always friendly for morning and midday coffee runs. By just a few days in, she memorized my coffee order and would have it ready without even asking! The entertainment team: especially Arturo, Jean, and Brayan were kind, hilarious, and fun from sunrise to well past sunset every night. They did so much to make each day exciting (sometimes exhausting from exercise) and carried through to some of the best all-inclusive nighttime entertainment we’ve experienced. They got to know us by name and helped take our vacation over-the-top. Overall, we had a magnificent stay and would not hesitate to visit again in the future.
