Daughters birthday holiday

Overall not a bad holiday but some aspects extremely frustrating, firstly check-in was annoying and disorganised and check out was not good ,. Firstly you check out of esmerlda and get taken with your luggage to fantasia where you are no longer all inclusive so you cannot drink or eat until your transfer once again conflicting information as we did get a juice but not allowed food ???? . Rooms are spacious and swimup pool was lovely after midday. Standout waiter was alexis at the main pool friendly attentive polite a wonderful character. Food was great always something to eat even for picky eaters

Beautiful resort and complex

Excellent resort! Our second time at Esmeralda but 5th on the complex. Beautiful rooms, grounds and beach. Staff are amazing. Our Guest Experience concierge, Mani and his partner, were the absolute best. Mani set up a few reservations for us at restaurants we weren’t able to access on the app. Made our entire trip! Food was amazing ! We dined at Limbo, Meat, Thali, Yurta, El Taino. Thali was our fave! The smashed burgers and Aperols were phenomenal at the Sports Bar. Staff across the board were very kind and helpful. Plenty of loungers and palapas in the beach.

First class from the moment we arrived, till the moment we left

We have just spent an amazing 11 nights at the Luxury Esmeralda. From the moment we arrived, till the moment we left we we had nothing but excellent service. The suites were large, had everything you needed. The suite we were in had smart room technology, where you could turn lights on adjust the air conditioning from the app or the TV. The bathroom was spatios and had a spa bath. If you didnot go to the resr. The mini bar was amply stocked and if you needed a top up during the day could request it from the App. The grounds, and pools buildings were impeccably maintained. We tried 11 of the a la carte restaurants, where the food was top draw, the pick of these being M.E.A.T. where the steaks are amazing and Limbo where the food and cocktails were superb. The buffet resteraunt had a large selection of food to chose from which was well presented and well cooked. We had no problem getting a seet, on only a couple of times had to wait for a tave Entertainment during the day was good with plenty of activities available to take part in. On a night you could seletvetertainmentvat 4 of the sister hotels on the complex, so there was always a choice of what to do on an evening. Arranged 2ctrips from the hotel to Saona Island and an undersea walk and swimming with sharks and stingrays, both were excellent trips and reasonably priced. The thing that really stood out was the staff, they were polit always ready to help and go that extra mile to give to the best holiday possible. We would definitely recommend the Esmeralda, you will have an amazing experience

BE AWARE: CUBAN-AMERICAN FAMILIES AND OTHERS

As someone who values respectful communication and conflict resolution, I was shocked by the treatment my family and I received at Bahia Principe Esmeralda. We were abruptly forced to leave a jacuzzi due to an unplanned event nearby. From the start, the staff’s attitude was hostile, treating us as though we were causing trouble. They even went as far as calling security on us without justification — a humiliating and unnecessary escalation. To make matters worse, a staff member named YULIS made a blatantly offensive comment, saying, “Se nota de dónde vienen, Cubanos, se creen los dueños del hotel.” If that’s not discrimination, then what is? Adding to the discomfort, other guests, including Americans who didn’t understand what was happening due to the language barrier, were also dismissed. We came to this hotel to relax and feel welcomed, not to be judged and humiliated. As a Cuban-American family of 11, we will not be returning to a place that employs individuals who display such open hostility and prejudice. There are many other options where guests are treated with respect and care. Choose wisely

I have never been to a resort where i could not get food for half of a day until now. Turned away from breakfast at 9:30 (breakfast served until 10:30) and told to return at 11. Went back at 11 and told come back at 12. Went back at 12 and told no come back at 12:30. I have health issues and require some kind of food regularly throughout the day, but management all just said sorry and pretended not to understand me. If you do not speak Spanish, you are treated very poorly here. Will never return and will maybe never return to Punta Cana. Jamaica and Mexico are much better for luxury, customer service and good food and drinks. Plus all of the small children at the bars and hot tubs and screaming all day and night long. Very bad experience!
