Beautiful - but does not deliver on the promised lucury

The resort is beautiful and the staff is nice, but the food is only mediocre, and the resort is exceptionally disorganized. There were power outages. They don’t have much entertainment. The pool is nice, but there isn’t much on the beach in the way of chairs or palapas, and minimal activities. The Indigo service just offers a fancy, well located building with nice rooms and a rooftop deck. The air conditioning was never working properly, and they never had working batteries in the tv remotes. It felt like a lot of money to pay for over-promised services that under-delivered. If you are just going to drink and hang out at a pool in a pretty environment with a group - it’s perfect. Don’t go for the luxury or the extras.

This is second time yearly visited Dreams sapphire. This trip we had an ocean front swim out and access to Indigo. The new indigo area is beautiful and wonderful services. The food at Gohan was unbelievable, we enjoyed lunch there daily. Rooftop pool and service was great. Azarel, bartender Isai pool concierge and Vincent were very attentive and helpful. We tried the various restaurants for dinner but the food was not as good this time as last year. We did Hibachi and it was underwhelming food and show. We tried the buffet a few times, the last day we were never acknowledged for drinks and were there over 30 minutes.We did enjoy adults only pool and sports bar, Carlos was fantastic at the bar. The spa was a highlight stone massage from Rosy and Cornelia was fantastic! It’s time to try a different resort.
