This resort is great, super clean with great staff! A little confusing to navigate but we liked it a lot! We appreciated Allan’s enthusiasm for volleyball and activities, Oscar was full of excitement and fun history facts at the spa, and Gil was the kindest waiter!!

Secrets Akumal was AMAZING and by far our favorite Secrets resort!! We stayed 8 days, 7 nights, and it was NOT enough! From time we arrived, we were treated like treasured guests/family! As preferred UVC guests, we were kindly greeted at our transfer vehicle and whisked away to the preferred lounge to check in. We were truly pleased with the fact that the lounge had hot food available. It was nice to have daily options other than just snacks. After checking in, we were guided to our room, which was beyond our expectations. The room was very inviting and clean. We also loved our partial ocean view and the quietness of the area. Our late afternoon arrival didn't stop us from enjoying a quick dip in the pool before heading back to our room to get dressed for dinner. During the night hours, we were able to take in the beauty of the resort! I will admit, we did get lost a few times, but we actually loved it because the atmosphere was so lush and soothing! We absolutely loved the daily poolside cookouts and the themed nights! Our favorite poolside lunch was the delicious, grilled seafood. It was beyond fresh and satisfying! I'd have to say that the grilled ribeye steak at Seaside Grill was the best dinner for me. It was so tender and satisfying!! Throughout our stay, we received the best treatment from the following team members: Hector (Manatee Bar), Eduardo (Manatee Bar), Osuna (pool concierge), Jorge (pool concierge), Fernando (Seaside), Antonio (Market Cafe), Alejandro (dinner booking), Estephania (Seaside), Felix (Coco Cafe), and Karen (building 4 concierge) Those who gave exceptional service were Marco (Manatee Bar), Macario (Seaside), and Mauricio (UVC concierge). All in all, you can't go wrong by choosing Secrets Akumal! Since returning home, I think about the unforgettable time we had on a daily basis and cannot wait to return!

We just got back from one of the best trips of our life at this beautiful resort! We arrived to be greeted warmly by our friend, Cesar Montoya, the Rooms division manager. Thank you so much for everything you did for us! Then off to the PREFERRED CLUB to see our beautiful friend Fernanda Uribe (Preferred Club manager) which we love dearly and think of as family. She is so dedicated and hardworking! Also thank you to Gabriella and Angel for being there for us and with their sweet smiles! And PC bartender Alan & servers Johanna and Karla for great service! We would like to thank the staff at SEASIDE GRILL for the most amazing food and service every single morning! Thank you Jaime (manager) Alexis (Hostess) and Servers Vitalino, Balthazar, Alberto & Jose and also the fill-in manager Marisol. And thank you to Yaquelin (Housekeeping) Amazing every time. A great Dinner at SEASIDE GRILL with Sol (manager) Hostess Stephanie and server Damian. Thank you to Diego Estrada Hernandez Captain of Preferred Club Bar. He did an amazing job of making sure everything was perfect before he would even leave at the end of the day! And to our dear amazing friend Hugo Rivera. I can’t even think of a single time on our trip that we did not come across this incredible hardworking man, always with a smile and a personal greeting. Thank you Osuna for being the best pool concierge! It was awesome to see our friend the amazing Antonio also a great pool concierge! Thanks to Felipe, Karla and Cruz (Servers) for making sure we never needed a drink poolside! Thank you for everything at PORTIFINO with the manager Jazmin, waiters Eddie and Eduardo for the best food and service! We want to thank our wonderful friend Alberto, Head Sommelier, who personally made sure our evening meals were special & memorable! Also to Santos and Alberto Chavez for also helping to make sure we had what we needed too! And the most incredible Chef’s Table meal dinner with the Master chef Omar Hernandez, the wonderful manager Roberto Gomez and the delicious dessert from Maria. It was all out of this world!! Thank you to Alejandro and Bernardo at Manatees swim-up bar for amazing drinks for all of us!The Bali bed experience was wonderful with the awesome beach waiter Ricardo!! And thank you to Augustin the beach concierge. The entertainment team wouldn’t be complete without our friend Rene. He is so incredible in All he does! And Andres, from the entertainment team who we loved his enthusiasm and energy in making things fun! And Didel also entertainment team is so much fun too! We had the best dinner at HIMITSU with Daniel as our server. Our visit with our best friends would not have been as special and wonderful without all these amazing people! We love each & every one of you and can’t wait to visit again in the new year!

My wife and I recently vacationed at Secrets Akumal for a week at the beginning of December. This was our first time at Secrets Akumal, and 3rd time at a Secrets Resort. We most recently spent a week at Secrets Maroma in 2023 and had an amazing time there, so our expectations for Secrets Akumal were very high. Well Secrets Akumal not only met our expectations, but exceeded them in every way. We had such an amazing time celebrating our anniversary. Our room was beautiful and met all our needs. The housekeeping staff cleaned everyday in a timely manner and did a great job. The mini-bar, coffee machine, and snacks were always restocked to our preferences that we had shared with our building concierge. The beach, the pools, the food, the service and the overall resorts and amenities met and surpassed all our expectations. On this vacation we really enjoyed the seaside grill in particular. There was no shortage of food options, everyday a themed buffet near the pool for lunch and special events in the evening as an alternate options to the a la carte options, not to mention the wood fired pizza's. Everything was amazing. What really stood out was the service and how the staff do their best to get to know you and make you feel at home. We were so well taken care of. A few standouts were Gina, our concierge, she was amazing, and took such good care of us. Not only during our initial welcome, but everyone morning when we walked by her desk we had a nice chat, and during the day she would come by the pool to say hi and see how were doing, often asking how she could make our stay better, and truthfully she couldn't, it was already perfect. Jose the beach concierge has such a positive energy and took care of us at the beach, he was great to chat with. We were lucky to see Santiago again, we had previously met him at Secrets Maroma when he worked there, we had some great conversation during the week and he took great care of us, such a nice man. Antonio, the concierge at our pool. Antonio exemplifies client service, such a great person, always going the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable around the pool. We chatted daily and he let us know some of the special things going on at the resort each day and the food options around the pools. Antonio is such a nice person. Throughout the week, we were mainly served by Basilio and Hector at the pool, they did a great job bringing us drinks and food, very polite and always ensuring we had what we needed for drinks and food. Great guys. We definitely plan on coming back. Secrets Akumal set such a high standard, we don't want to risk going elsewhere and being disappointed. We are keeping our eyes open for deals so we can book a return trip in the near future. Thank you Secrets Akumal!!

We have just returned from the most wonderful holiday at Secrets Akumal. I cannot rate our experience highly enough and would highly recommend. The food is just incredible. From the breakfast buffet at Market Café to the sensational sushi at Himitsu and seafood at Oceana, every restaurant (and there are quite a few!!) is great. We were wowed every time with the quality and choice of food and the exceptional service of the staff. The grounds of the hotel take your breath away. They are immaculately kept and provide a photo opportunity at every turn. The beach is also spotless, with lots of room for everyone to enjoy the stunning white sands and clear blue sea. Just a little swim off shore and you are surrounded by beautiful tropical fish, whilst in the other direction are turtles which you can see on a private tour which was fantastic and a definite highlight of our trip. The 3 pools are also immaculate with plenty of bed chairs and umbrellas available and very attentive, friendly waiting staff, who regularly come round to take drinks orders, straighten your towels and even clean sunglasses! Really top notch service. Every member of staff is amazing and goes above and beyond to help you. Special shout-outs go to Didiel, Alan and Max for their amazing yoga and stretching classes, Victor from the Water Team for his invaluable insight into the snorkelling, turtles and cenotes, Baltazar our lovely waiter at Oceana, Ruben and Jose our super poolside hosts, Imelda my masseuse at the spa and our fantastic concierge Karina! It really was a holiday to remember and we cannot wait to go back.
