My husband and I came to Secrets Akumal for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have asked for a better resort to spend a week together! The bartenders at the swim up bar were the best - Alejandro, Bernardo & Marco were incredible! But honestly every worker was so friendly and welcoming.

We stayed at Secrets in the Riviera Maya for a 7-night couples trip and are genuinely sad to be leaving. The week was spent relaxing by the pool, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, and enjoying exceptional service—especially from Francisco and Ruben, who were incredibly friendly, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond. The pool, resort, and overall setting truly transport you into a stunning jungle oasis. It was the perfect getaway, and we can’t wait to return.

It was our 9th stay at Secrets Akumal. This resort has the gorgeous, well-kept beach and the most important for us it’s perfect place for snorkeling. The property is amazing, you leave there like in botanical gardens. Staff is very friendly and you feeling that they are taking care of you as you part of the family. The food is excellent, specially in Bordeaux restaurant. It’s very hard to find resort that the longer it stays in business, the better it gets.

Never been all inclusive was our very first time and we will always return back to a secret or Hyatt hotel nothing but pleasure and every person that we met has taken care of us and felt like we were very special to be here

This property is 5 Star! I enjoyed every meal like never before at an all inclusive. The staff go far beyond expectation. Cocktail servers everywhere, the beach, the pool, the lobby. The property is bright and inviting. I really like that the walkways are shaded by greenery. The pools have an abundance of loungers. The beach also has an abundance of loungers with canopies to offer shade. NO RESERVATIONS required for a la carte! The room minibar offered a good selection. Room service was fantastic! I can't say enough positive things to do this property justice. It is worth the money spent!
