Helpfull people at Divi little bay beach resort

Wish to highlight the special work of three people with had to deal with. Thank you to the GM Anne-Marie Brooks and Colin King. There was a problem with our reservation upon arrival but they quickly fixed it to our full satisfaction. Thank you as well to Sherdawn, the lady who looked after our room and did all she could to fulfil our housekeeping needs. There were also other people who went out of their way to help and serve throughout our stay. Thank you all

TERRIBLE service!

TERRIBLE service! Confirmed our reservation on May 11, 2025 for Feb. 14-21, 2026. Got up at 4 am to catch plane to St. Maarten. Tried to check in at 5 pm (after waiting in line for 1/2 hr), but they could not find my reservation, even though I presented them with a printed confirmation. The desk took my printed confirmation back to the "manager" to see if they could help. After 1/2 hr., we were told to go get something to eat, and, when we got back, our room would be ready. After waiting for 1-1/2 hr. for a pizza on site, we went back to the reservation desk. We saw the timeshare owner's name on the VIP check-in board, so thought we would surely get checked in finally! No such luck! After several people trying to find our reservation, and them making several trips back to the "manager", they finally were told to "just find them a room"! This is 3 hrs. after our initial attempt to check in. When we got to our room, the bellhop put our bags in the bedroom, and noticed the bed had been slept in and used towels in the bathroom. He called room service at 8:45 pm, and said they would be to our room shortly to fix everything. After 20 minutes, we heard someone at the front door, so we went to answer it. There was someone at the front door trying to get in, as the front desk had just assigned our room to him! We explained what happened, and he went back to the check in desk. While we were waiting for room service, we tried to turn the tv's on to see if we could watch the Olympics. The main tv was fuzzy at best, and only had 8 stations (BBC, Theater, Bloomberg, WB,CNN, TNT, and Teva), even though their QR code said they had 20 stations (including ESPN). The tv in the bedroom didn't work at all (GE remote with LGTV). At 9:15 pm, I called the front desk to see when housekeeping would be to my room (having been up 17 hours already). The front desk said they would check and call me back. They did not call me back! At 9:50 pm, housekeeping showed up, and started cleaning the bathroom and making the bed with fresh sheets. At 9:55 pm, the front desk called and offered me another room, as they didn't know when housekeeping would show up! The next day, I called the front desk at 2 pm to have maintenance check the safe (wasn't working) and the tv's. At 4:45 pm, after no response, I called the front desk again. It rang 26 times with no answer. At 5 pm, maintenance showed up, reset the safe and reprogrammed the tv's. When I asked about getting the 20 channels, he said they were looking into a different tv service, but all they had currently was 8 stations, and they were fuzzy at best! The next day at 7 pm, we called the front desk for maintenance again, as the stovetop and the oven were not working, and the safe was not locking again. Maintenance showed up 2 hours later. He got the stove top to work, but said he couldn't get the oven to work, and reprogrammed the safe. We never did use the safe, as it continued to lock and unlock sporadically. Service was SUPER SLOW at all the restaurants on site! Although a lovely beach, we will NOT be going back to St. Maarten or using any Divi resort!

Paradise- already planning our trip back!

Where to begin…. We stayed for a whole week in an oceans suite. This hotel absolutely has the best beach in St. Martin/Marteen, which is largely why we originally chose this hotel. The views are absolutely unbeatable. We are already planning our trip back to St. Martin in 2027 and will be staying at Divi again. The oceans rooms are new and upgraded… we loved having a kitchen and laundry. Our room was clean upon check in and we noticed that the resort was clean our entire stay. The food on the resort is pretty good, as well. We rented a car to get around, beware that some of the roads are very hilly/windy and the driving can be a little intense. However, by the end of the week we felt more comfortable and drove over to the French side for several dinners. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships come in every morning. The resort itself is very large and has several different pools to enjoy as well as the beach, which we liked. The only thing to be aware of is that cruise passengers are able to get day passes to Divi beach and sometimes it can get very crowded. If you get up early to get a spot it is totally fine, however. Before we came, a lot of the reviews discussed slow service as a complaint at Divi. The service can be somewhat slow in some places, however, remember that you are on Caribbean time down here! We were on vacation and had no issue waiting for someone to assist either in the restaurants or on the beach. It is not going to be as fast service as in the United States. We took this week to slow down and enjoy our time. Now for the staff. The resort was already very nice. However, the staff made this an experience we won’t forget and will be returning to! We made several new friends at the resort. We first met Eddy when we checked in and he helped us when our room was mixed up. There’s not enough good things to say about him! He drove us around the resort all week and we were so happy to see him everyday. He even called to check in on us, and said goodbye on our last day. We met Laurel at the pizza shop at the resort, Slice. She is a ray of sunshine with her yellow glasses! One of us is gluten free, and she told us she makes her dough daily and was able to accommodate us. After that, we were fast friends and stopped by to talk with her everyday just about life! We will miss seeing her in the mornings. McKenzie was one of the beach attendants who set up our chairs and umbrellas. He is an extremely hard worker and was out in the sun everyday. We enjoyed seeing and talking with him each morning! Alex was the beach restaurant attendant who brought us piña coladas each day. He was also a joy to be around and we enjoyed talking with him. We will miss everyone and can’t wait to be back next year! There were many other staff that we didn’t get the names of that were absolutely incredible as well, such as the ladies in the coffee shop. Overall, would definitely recommend staying here and we will be returning.

Disappointed Stay

The service has greatly improved from past years. Definitely still short staffed one waiter for about 10 tables some nights. At the beach in the morning there was one young man getting all the lounge chairs and umbrellas. Around 10AM another young man would show up to help. Made a reservation for two at the MIX and when we got there we are told sorry we are full ! We said but we have reservations- they said yes I know but we are full and don’t know when a table will be available- they seemed oblivious to the situation and not to care. That was totally unacceptable and ruined our day.
