This hotel was a well balanced experience...ideal for both business and pleasure. Clean/comfortable/ large rooms with great amenities and a great location. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Highest recognition to the lovely Carmen Peterson - Director of Rooms Division - such a professional and remarkable individual, who goes above and beyond to ensure her guests enjoy the best stay possible. I would recommend this hotel and the island by extension. It's seemingly safe...with so much entertaining and interesting stuff to be a part of...for any demographic. Thanks for a wonderful stay. St. Maarten is a beautiful island and the location of this hotel is great for beach and some light shopping. The pool is nice, but gets crowded. The food was mostly fine but I wish there were more options for breakfast and lunch. There’s a snack bar that does burgers and hot dogs but it’s only open 2-6. There aren’t enough snack options throughout the day. The kids club was ok, my son enjoyed it, but only because he could play video games he didn’t have at home. They close every couple hours so you have to keep getting your kid and dropping them back off, and then they are closed for an hour or more at a time so you have to book your day around their hours. We’ve had much better experiences at other kid clubs. The toiletries they provide, particularly the shampoo/conditioner/body wash are bargain basement generic goop. I had to condition my hair 2-3 times after the beach because the conditioner was so bad. I ended up using substantially more than I would if it had been higher quality. We found the staff helpful and friendly. Are room was well tended and the common areas were clean. I probably wouldn’t stay here again but it was fine for our purposes this go round.

I stayed 4 nights here with my family over Thanksgiving. I’m surprised this is considered a 4 star resort. The building is dated and the hallways smell. My guess is the building has mold/mildew problems . The way the showers are designed it wouldn’t surprise me. It’s hard to take a shower without getting the floor wet the way the door and shower-head is set. Many of the staff are rude. The worst part of the trip was the poorly working air condition. We couldn’t get our room to cool any lower than 74 degrees, which is dreadfully hot for an American family used to sleeping at 65-68. Maintenance staff couldn’t fix the problem. The staff just shrug their shoulders when confronted with complaints. On a positive note, I thought the food was good and the pool area was kept clean. The proximity to the beach/restaurants/shopping was nice.

We were pleasantly surprised by the updates done to the hotel since our last visit 10 years ago. Our room was on the 6th floor over looking the pool area. Good sized room, clean . The staff were accommodating & helpful. There were a few good food choices, no complaints. The Palms restaurant offered Mexican, the Point , a good buffet variety the Italian restaurant was nice,less people , it felt more like going out for dinner,more intimate .The food was tasty, the service there was great..The pool area was busy & noisy at times.,the bar service was good. There was a bbq hut near the pool,it would open around 4 pm each day,they served hot dogs & hamburgers.,it was a popular Every day they had a musical duo perform , different performers, from 3 -5 pm. It was a nice relaxing way to wind down.. The resort offers something for everyone..The only complaint about this resort would be the lack of beach area. You need to go off the resort and walk to the beaches, Maho & Mullet Bay,minutes away. Overall it was a great week!

We found resort to be clean. Food good. Fun time at pool without being too out of control. Some of the employees seemed bothered by our presence but it didn’t ruin our trip. There were other employees like Ramon in the mini casino lobby bar who were great! He made amazing mojitos and made sure that every night extra mint was brought to the bar just for me.
