Although this property is limited on food selections the staff makes up for it. Ask for Navita and Sharon Anna Elise’ the bellman thinks of your every need. Please honor them for their 5 star service.

First and foremost, there don’t seem to be a lot of options here by the airport. I suspect this lets them get away with some of the things that others may overlook. First, the positives: • Check-in was efficient. Having your resort bracelet as your room key is great. • My experience with staff is that they are pleasant but businesslike, not at all unfriendly. • Landscaping is lovely and the resort pool area is fine, if a bit small. Everything was clean and well-maintained • Our room was fine and spacious; we had a minor water leak but it was resolved quickly Areas of improvement: • Food is average quality and service slow at times • In an age where most buffets are self-serve, you have to be served by staff, leading to slower replenishment and longer lines. • Elevators are at max; one was out during our visit and lines backed up badly. Overall, we had a fairly enjoyable four day stay but it could have been excellent with some improvements.

Sonesta Maho was nothing but an AMAZING trip!!!! I cannot be big to thank the staff of the hotel enough! To begin my 4-year-old son was diagnosed with celiac disease last July. Over the last 6-7 months we have been struggling to manage our new life and then to even consider a vacation. Either way we finally decided to take the leap of faith and book a vacation. Well, booking our vacation at Sonesta Maho Beach was the best idea. To begin Sharon a supervisor at the buffet side, worked with us daily. She made it a point to talk about all three meals, times and locations to be delivered . Each meal came over gluten free, covered and HOT. Her compassion toward my sons' meals were remarkable. We felt like it was her own son. One day we forgot to text her and before we thought of it. We received our morning text of what's today's menu? I hope someone in the hotel is reading this. Sharon is a remarkable human being who made our vacation nothing but AMAZING!!! For those who have celiac know any form of contamination will aggravate a stomach. Well 6 days in paradise, my 4-year-old never complained once.... Lastly the resort itself was great. Very clean, great food and service. The manager sitting in the lobby (sorry forgot her name) was amazing as well. Highly recommend for kids and adults!!!

Everyone who works at Sonesta were absolutely wonderful. Everyone seemed very happy we were here, very helpful very friendly. They all wanted to make sure our stay was enjoyable and it truly was!
