The staff and people were amazing.

We had a fantastic family getaway here. The resort is incredibly kid-friendly, and the entire staff was so pleasant and accommodating. ?A huge thank you to Veronica at Maho Cafe for her kindness, and Dywantie and the team at the buffet for being so wonderful with the kids. We also absolutely loved the entertainment organized by Chandra—it really added to the experience! Highly recommend for a stress-free family vacation.

I figured I'd share our experience from Sonesta Maho Beach Resort. After reading reviews from great to very poor for several weeks leading up to our trip, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'll start off by saying we have been to many all-inclusive resorts on various islands around the Caribbean, some were way more expensive and others that were cheaper and I feel this was a great value for what we paid. I don't understand some of the reviews I read that claimed the staff were rude and unfriendly. I did not see any of that the entire time we were there. We had a group of 8 and were seated the 1st morning for breakfast. Maria took care of us the whole week, and after the 1st day she greeted us with a friendly good morning and knew what each of us were having to drink. She had our drinks ready as soon as we sat down. I saw some travelers being very rude to her, but she never let her frustration show and always had a smile on her face. Hakeem and Malik were great bar tenders, very friendly and even though they got extremely busy at times, they always served drinks with a smile. Our rooms were clean and re-stocked daily. If you're looking for a casino atmosphere, that is not what is at this resort. There were just a few slot machines, but there is a "real" casino right across the street and it was safe to walk to. We even saw a show at the casino. One couple in our group had a shower rod that was broke and it was reported the 1st day, but it was never fixed, other than that, we had no complaints. The food was good at the buffet and the restaurants. If you are looking for Michelin Star type of meal, then you should probably look elsewhere, but ours meals were all very good.

The Location was 10...we got to watch the planes come in at the beach and resort... The people were really nice... Especially the day bartender..Akeem...he wad on point with the vibes and the drinks...tell him to make the Texas Special?? Our room was always cleaned when asked...never an issue.. Others in the buffet...Jordan..was great...I forgot the other lady's name.. Pool bar was great and Kennedy in entertainment was fabulous... Only thing I disliked was the Casino across the street and leaving...we will return..for sure
