Overall not a bad resort! Great pool, bartenders, the staff were super friendly. Definitely a resort catered to families, couples, and wedding parties. The main complaint we had was with our room. It smelled very damp, the power went out when using a hair dryer, and we had issues with our shower leaking.

My wife and I just returned after celebrating our 20th anniversary. We stayed in the Romance Villa which is centrally located near the pools, restaurants, and beach. The food and service was outstanding. We also highly recommend taking the snorkeling/scuba excursion to Cozumel. You can sign up at the beach. Alejandro (Alex) and his crew were fun and entertaining. We’ll definitely be back!

Problems from the time of arrival to the time of departure. It doesn’t matter where you are on this resort, you will be waiting a long time to get service. Buffets are not good. Long lines to get in to eat at any time of the day. The food appears old and does not taste good. A la carte restaurants were very good; although, I witnessed ants crawling all over the blue cheese at one spot. The fitness area could use some attention. It is a small area and not all equipment functioned properly. It takes a long time to get a shuttle at busy times of the day. The beach was full of seaweed and rocks. There is limited seating. The 24 hour sports bar(your only option for late night grub) ran out of most menu options daily. We utilized the spa facility for a manicure. We were given coupons at check-in to receive $20 off of the service. Despite using the coupon at the facility, the price at check out did not reflect this. When we asked customer service about the coupon, they refused to apply the $20. The appearance of the resort is very nice. I wish I could say the same about my experience. I would never go back here or suggest this resort to anybody I know.

We're staying at Kantenah resorr and visited La Adelita Mexican al a carte for an evening meal. Service was excellent from Jesus, salad bar to start the meal was excellent, we enjoyed fajitas for main and the family had a selection of tres leche cake, fritters and creme brulee for desert. Gracias.

Fernando was our server at el dorado and it was absolutely amazing food and he was the best server he got us our meal on time and kept the drinks flowing and the good times rolling he had amazing English and explained the dishes perfectly and did it lead us astray
