Profirio at the bar is a great bartender, deserves recognition! Was always very kind and helpful, wanted to give him a shoutout. Poolside was very fun and the beach is clear of sargassum. Beautiful snorkeling right off the beach. I had a great time all around.

Our family converged from 3 different cities to have a shared vacation at this beautiful resort. We were absolutely pleased with the entire experience! There were 10 of us…8 adults and 2 kids. The food choices were excellent, pools and activities fun and varied. Daniella was an amazing and energetic leader of both yoga and aqua fit. Charlie led the aqua force and pool party. So much fun! The buffets for breakfast and lunch had so much choice and lots of wonderful fresh fruit. The incredible staff in every aspect, rooms, grounds, restaurants and maintenance and service desks were always pleasant and attentive. They work so hard! Cudos to all of them! ??. For the most part the evening shows were great. Our favourite was Fantasia! I can’t say enough. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Our favourite sit down restaurant was The Brasserie. Very classy, and consistently great food. Francisco and Pedro were our wonderful waiters, knowledgeable and efficient. Shout out to Alejandro at the Caribe seafood restaurant. He was a lot of fun! Sad to be going although one of the wedding guests from last night were not very respectful with the late night noise. We will definitely return. We went on the Tulum excursion and also swam in the nearby cenotes. But the ocean swimming at the resort has great beaches and there are fish and turtles to see even without snorkeling. I will miss the warm aquamarine water and the extensive pool!

Would definitely recommend Barcelo Maya Palace if you are planning a vacation to Cancun. The resort was beautiful, the staff was great and there is so much to do on the resort.

Beautiful resort, been many times. Always clean and well taken care of. Gorgeous beach, swam with sea turtles, lots of fish. Pool is excellent, its HUGE! Restaurants are all great - PALACE is definitely a step up from others (haven't been to Adults only) in food quality - and loads of selection. The staff are lovely people, especially waitress Angelina in Carey Bar/ Poolside, and Jose and all premium lounge staff. The staff are friendly and kind hearted and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. The rooms are large, comfortable beds, beautiful rain shower - and use room service if you are hungry... the Club sandwich is amazing! There is so much to do here, if you are bored there is something wrong. The only thing I could say to be careful of - the floors are EXTREMELY slippery in the rooms. If there is ANY water on floor from housekeeping - BE VERY CAREFUL - my mother at 77 years old, slipped and fell - broke her femur bone and had to have surgery in Mexico. She basically lost her trip, and I lost most of mine taking care of her once she was released from hospital (and going back and forth to hospital until she got released). The nurse at the resort clinic was exceptional (I'm not 100% sure but I think it was Angelina as well), and thank goodness for insurance as she was well cared for at Hospiten Riviera Maya.. But no one wants this on a vacation much less this far from home. This is the only reason to give the room a lower rating.

We will for sure be back with a group of friends! The beach was amazing, the service was top end, and the food made me gain five pounds in six days it was so good!
