Tips for this Huge Awesome Resort!!!!

We visited this hotel for the Steve Harvey Sand and Soul Festival for 4 nights. From the start, all of the staff were very friendly. This is a very large, beautiful resort! We couldn’t make time to see all it had to offer. Here are a few tips: Try to book all dinner reservations before you arrive or ASAP after you arrive. They have a lot of restaurants but our favorite was Agra, the Indian Restaurant (intimate but food mostly Spicy). Pier 8 on the beach had several selections of good ceviches. We always did the buffet breakfast which was good. They had an awesome barbecue on Thursday night near the pool, a must do. Apart from that, other food was average. If you have resort credits, you need to go to the vacation booking desk to find out how you can spend them right after your dinner reservations are made. However, you must pay 16% tax, so not sure if any of these are good deals. We wanted to book the intimate surf & Turf dinner but it was sold out. The premium liquors were found at the lobby bar only. There are a lot of pool areas, and that’s where most people were. There’s a wave surfing pool that’s absolutely free to use. There were very few people on the beach. And no one was in the water probably due to the cloudy looking water or maybe too much seaweed. This is quiet place to lounge until the Tractor comes by again and again, scooping up seaweed from the shore - real annoying. Beach chairs and umbrellas are readily available. Don’t forget some good walking shoes, it’s a very large resort. They have bus stops where you wait for golf carts to shuttle you around. There’s lots of areas we didn’t get a chance to explore. The hotel has a huge event center. It’s perfect for really large groups. I don’t have a pictures of the resort only of The Steve Harvey Festival.
