Firstly the hotel is beautiful and quaint. It is the smallest of the other two on the island and much quieter to boast. The overall feel was relaxing and mellow. The food was enjoyable especially Kelly's and Kimonos was very entertaining. The hotel staff were very accommodating and went beyond their desk duties to ensure that we had a memorable time. The spa staff was also very nice and well worth the money. The room is very clean and the bed is absolutely amazingly comfortable (maybe too much since it was difficult to get out of to start your day!) The only problem though was the leaking shower that was annoying and it sprayed out of the tub causing the floor and mat to get wet. Also the water pressure of the overhead shower was very poor. The tub was enjoyable and huge and it filled surprisingly fast.

I cried when I returned home

If you have no time to read... then just read this: WOW! DO IT. :D For those with more time: - Arrival: The ride there was long and bumpy - I got car sick. But we are all different especially after a long flight. However the views were gorgeous! We booked club level and were not disappointed. Air conditioned lobby specifically for club lounge members only - amazing drink on arrival that can only be found in this lobby! Club goes the extra mile and is just below butler service. Extra activities are included for free at club level like wine tasting, snorkeling, etc. - Room - Club Level Oceanview Patio with Tranquility Soaking Tub: Clean, Large, COMFORTABLE. AC was on on arrival which is heaven in the tropical heat! Our mini bar was fully stocked with wines, spirits, juice and water. It was replenished everyday. Room was cleaned twice a day! If you state you are honeymooners, there is a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival and many other free goodies like breakfast in bed etc. - Restaurants: Very good food, and theme changes daily in the Bayside Restaurant. I suggest using the free shuttle and trying out all the different restaurants from Sandals La Toc and Grande too! You can also use the spa, swimming pools etc. of each hotel. - Pool: Swim up bar, super quiet and peaceful most of the day. - Beach: Clear waters and practically empty beaches for the taking. Watersports are really fun! - Activities: Unfortunately 2 out of 4 activities were cancelled for us as not enough people were booked even though we paid for them more than 6 months in advance. Be prepared for this. However, the 2 we went on were amazing! - Spa: TAMEKA & VANESSA were awesome! We had 2 massages booked on separate days and they were fantastic - set in the tranquil gardens! Absolutely heavenly. Some Tips: -When you arrive, just outside the sandals lounge in the airport, some guys will grab your luggage and take the luggage inside the lounge for you on a trolley (like 15 meters away) and then harass you for a tip. They are not sandals staff and give you no choice but rather grab the luggage from you. Don't let them! - Tipping is not allowed except for the Spa Staff and the activities which are booked outside of sandals. - Taxis are expensive - a 2 min drive will cost 10 dollars. Avoid them. - The resort shop has many lovely things but are on the expensive side. I still spent over 200 dollars on souvenirs so each to their own! - The other resorts are worth visiting. Grande is LOUD - prepare for DJ by the pool, and hundreds more people. La Toc is a little more quiet. Halcyon staff are much more friendly and its more intimate since its the smallest resort. Shout-out to Seralina who made our stay super special! I definitely recommend and cant wait to return! :)

We absolutely LOVED the Halycon. If you want a quiet, casual, and romantic setting...this is the place to go. We purchased a villa with a private pool, garden view, and Butler. If you want a huge resort, stay at another Sandals on the island. This Sandals is small, but still private. Our villa was a garden view (118) but steps away from the beach. There are locals cats that greeted us every morning when we would eat our breakfast on the patio. They are harmless, and would return even though we never fed them! In St. Lucia there are not any private beach, so expect some locals to try to sell you some Jewlery, but keep in mind it’s their only income, so if you politely decline, they will leave you alone. Our Butlers were AMAZING!! I highly recommend having one if you can. Yves, Silvi, Willard, and Gibson were all very professional and were always happy to fulfill any request. They set us up at our chosen location (pool, beach, etc.) and move us when we want. They also scheduled all our dinner reservations and escorted us. Vanessa was also very friendly at the Spa. My husband and I had pre-booked massages, she recommended one that was just newly added (Himalayan Salt Stone Massages). It was great! For tours, we book the private Soufriere Tour and Petrus was our driver. He was awesome! Took his time taking us to all the picturesque spots, mud baths, waterfalls, and also an amazing restaurant called Maria’s, where the food was amazing. If you want more of a party scene, take the “Joe Knows” tour. He even brought us some local fruit that we loved! All in all...if you want a quiet relaxed vacay, stay here! We will def be returning !!

This was a 5 start vacation: My husband and I planned this vacation with our 2 married sons and their wives. 1. The feel of the resort: This is a small Sandals resort, which is exactly what we wanted. Not crowded and a very intimate feel. The other guests were a combination of lot's of honeymooners, and older couples. 2. The grounds: The place was immaculate. Beautifully maintained, with grounds crews constantly making it pristine. The flowers were spectacular no matter where you looked. The pools were always clean and inviting. 3. The staff: I cannot say enough about the staff -- they all made us feel like friends, and made sure that our every need was fulfilled. Our butlers, Claudia, Maverick, and Gibson were on standby for every wish you could have -- in fact, they often predicted and satisfied our needs before we even asked. The 3 of them made the trip a delight, with their personalities and service. 4. The rooms: We selected to stay in side-by-side butler rooms with a connecting pool. I highly recommend this for anyone traveling with a group. Each couple had privacy but yet had a pool right outside our patios where we could spend time together. The rooms and pool are right at the ocean's edge. Best rooms ever: amazing shower, indoor tub, another tup on the patio, fully appointed with a full bar, and incredibly comfortable furnishings. The rooms appeared to have been very recently renovated. 4. The food: All the food was very good. We sampled all of the restaurants and bars. Everything was tasty and of good quality. My only negative comment is that the food was highly americanized -- we typically like to taste more of the local fare in our travels, but I do understand that a lot of people prefer to have a more predictable diet, and this was an all inclusive resort. There were plenty of fruity and tropical drinks! Our butlers brought us snacks and treats where ever we were, which was fun! 5. The activities: There were lots of options available for outside tours, however we never even partook of any. Within the resort there was plenty to do: They had their own scuba/snorkel center, with certified and qualified dive instructors. Our dive crew, Damian, Barney and Wendy shared their expertise and were so much fun to get to know. One of my sons got his Advanced Open Water Scuba certification while there, I was able to do 2 open water scuba dives, the rest of the group did plenty of snorkeling. Kayaks, paddle boards, water skiing, etc, all included.

    What a difference!

It was unbelievable, how much was done to this resort, from one year ago when I had dinner at Kelly’s Dockside. The rooms to the back have all been renovated, and look so inviting. And the swimming pool that was built from one end of the resort, just in front of these rooms, all the way to the other end (at least 4 buildings down) was a fantastic upgrade to this property. How they managed to get all those beautiful plants and flowers alongside the pool, looking as though they were there forever, is a mystery to me. A job well done! Booked a lovely Club Level room with a tranquility soaking tub ( which I always use), close to the beach. I am not sure if it was the time of year, but the beach was the best I had ever experienced. When the sun came out the following morning, the water was calm and crystal clear. Firm sand , no seaweed, stones etc. It was perfect. Enjoyed the local section at the breakfast buffet, and the variety of choices offered at lunch. Chef Nayak was always around and even prepared one of my husbands favorite dishes, as we celebrated our wedding anniversary. Quality of food and service has remained the high standard that you expect when you stay at a Sandals Resort. Had dinner at all of the restaurants and enjoyed every bite. My one disappointment: Our reservation at the Japanese restaurant Kimonos, was at 8.45pm, however we were never seated until 9.30pm. One couple actually got up and left. Everyone seemed hungry and anxious at this point, so the chef actually ran through the entire show, which may be why the end product was not as good as we were accustomed to. We missed Sameera at Club Sandals , but happy to know that she is now at Sandals LaToc, which may be our next Sandals destination. Her warm hospitality and customer service has always been second to none, and was clearly passed on, to the team , that was left behind. Thank you to Cipriana, Loni, and your crew, for so efficiently handling any requests we may have had. Your smiles and conversations were awesome. Another great vacation!!
