Thoroughly Impressed!

My wife and I just returned from a 5 night stay at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. We booked this trip back in late fall and debated about canceling it several times due to everything going on, but ultimately decided to go. We are sure glad we did! From the moment we arrived at the resort, we could tell that the entire Zilara/Ziva team was commited to guest safety and satisfaction. They keep this resort sanitized and sparkling clean. If anyone is wondering, the staff was wearing masks 100% of the time and most of them also wear googles and gloves. The guests were also very considerate of one another and it's a great all around atmosphere. The beach, pools, restaurants, and fitness center are all amazing. We are definitely going to be returning in the future and would highly recommend this resort. Special thanks to Noel and Alfonsina at the Club Pool for their top notch customer service, our butler Adrian and concierge Larissa for always making sure everything is perfect, and our housekeeper Miguelina for doing such a fantastic job of caring for our room.
Book it! You wont regret it

Best resort I have ever been in Dominican Republic. The treatment is amazing. We had Rafael as our butler and he always went out of his way to ensure we were having a good time. The pool is clean and drinks were on point. Recommend getting the CLUB perks and get more out if it. This place is more of a calm chill environment. Best for couples looking for peace and relaxation.
Nice property

Property grounds- pool, beach front and rooms were cleaned. Landscaping was nice and well kept. Food- was pretty good all round but lacking local cuisine unlike some of the Hyatt resorts that has local dishes. Customer service- Not sure if it’s me but I’ve been to other Latin countries and never had a problem with customer service nor communication but this Hyatt management seem/sounds and acts kinda rude. Not helpful at all. Only one manager at the pool bar offered to go the extra mile to get us coconut water. (His efforts was worth it). In all I would recommend, however don’t be surprised to have mixed reactions to customer service. They seem to cater to certain ethnicities more than others.
8 Days of Bliss! A Must Experience!!

We had a most memorable experience arriving at the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana on its opening day, 11/1/19. So we were extremely excited to experience the resort recently, which would now include sister property, The Hyatt Ziva, next door. In short, 8 Days of bliss! From stunning design and architecture (Kudos Ken Shannon!), to warm, professional, yet familial like staff (Kudos GM Pedro Tomas and Carlos Rosario!), to creative culinary options (what do you expect when the Food/Beverage manager is from Galicia, Spain? Kudos David Barreiro!). The quantity and quality of sublime moments can't be captured in a Tripadvisor review, but suffice it to say, they were continuous. And it must be said, the team were delighted to accommodate, and even suggest dinning options that weren't on the menu, so to speak. Just ask! A particular fish, a particular Cava, etc. Tell them you liked something, and it might just start showing up wherever you are! The effort and results were not lost on us! To that end, sharing pics and experiences with our son and daughter in law, we found they had booked to come down a month hence midway through our stay! We plan to return at least annually. I'm certain our children will come to that conclusion. And a few years hence, it will be us with them and the grandkids! We both travel the planet for work, 30 plus countries, including the DR multiple times, and all the states. And it always comes down to the people. Which requires another nod to Pedro Tomas. If you go, please find him for a conversation. You will be glad you did. And you will understand, in part, the magic of this destination. Incredible Couples Getaway

We had a tremendous stay back here in February for Valentine's Day. Everything from the room to the service at the restaurants was amazing. All the restaurants were super tasty, and we loved being able to also try out the restaurants at Ziva too. The different pools were nice and accommodated the needs we were feeling that day. The water classes were also super fun and entertaining to watch. We had an oceanfront VIP room and the view did not disappoint, it was great that there weren't beach cabanas set up all over that would block the views of the stunning ocean and sunsets! Our butler Engor Walker was absolutely amazing and was always there when we needed him. He helped to make the experience memorable by doing little treats for us throughout our week there, making sure we had specific drinks on hand, and even helped with getting us some cortozone when I ended up with sun poisoning! We plan on coming back and staying next door at Ziva with the kids and will be requesting to have Engor again!
