Not good

What a shame this hotel is being run down , some prestige members told us it was being sold out of the group , our room in block 2 needed new bathroom and deep cleaning and swim up pool needed a deep clean very dirty,checked all other pools and all filthy with dirt water lines , no water in our room on a few days for hours at a time , on a day that hotel organised a cocktail evening at 5.30 we didn’t have water till 4.30 and then realised no clean towels left after room clean, phoned for towels but didn’t arrive , when asked for towels at reception they said no time given for delivery “really”, meal in Italian 8 meals delivered and then told no lasagna for 2 others so 10 minute wait for new meals, big health and safety risk for the main pool decking very worn and damaged so dangerous for bare feet and lots of children at risk see pictures, no beach towels left by 8am , lots of sunbeds broken, breakfast food great and loved the Buffett food, no ice cream many days and no de cafe coffee 5 days , many days no fruit for cocktails at swim up bar , no mosquito spraying on the bushes in the 2 weeks so lots of bites , you will need spray for the evenings , staff all worked very hard and were lovely, never saw a manager on site to encourage them , very disappointing stay

Bad Logistics, Amazing Staff

Very nice resort but with some logistical issues. We were told on various occasions we had dinner reservations for certain days and times but when we arrived at the restaurant, we didn’t have a reservation… Pool towels are gone by 830am, so bring your own. As well, we were “Prestige” members and there were lots of things we were supposed to get but we did not. No briefing on what it meant or anyone contacting us about having to reserve cabanas the day you get there for the whole week or else you won’t get one. However the staff were amazing! Corrie helped us out with so much on our stay: getting us a cabana, towels and making our Jamaican experience special. On the Entertainment team, Situation & OneLess were energetic, fun and engaging! Always great to see them around the resort. Our waitress at the Asian restaurant, Alicia, was attentive and friendly. You guys are so funny and kind, hope you all stay well. -“ mr and ms boston”

Faulty Towers does Jamaica

Terrible! Don’t, just don’t! Travelled with family and friends, upon arrival, having booked a premium swim up, they tried to put us in a second floor suite, then offered a room previously rejected by other members of our party due to mould! Over the 2 weeks we were there, I encountered 8 other couples who experienced the same thing, and were offered an upgrade to honeymoon suite, at an extra £150 per night, as there were no other rooms available. SCAM! I fell over on the decking, general state of the hotel is run down and tired. Beach is amazing. Hotel constantly running out of supplies: tea bags, hot chocolate, bananas, chicken, etc etc. Tried all the A la carte restaurants, when seated we were told what we couldn’t have. They serve INSTANT MASH POTATO, and use frozen pizza bases! Definitely not A la Carte! This hotel is rated as a 5* Platinum by TUI, I would say nearer 3*. Basically lacking in every area. No management to be seen. staff scurrying about, trying to do their best. Main buffet is also lacking, limited choice. Shower in our room overflowed, my husband pulled the drain cover out and it was disgusting. The swim up pool for buildings 1 & 2 had a massive tide mark of filth on Will not go again, losing my faith in TUI as this is not what it should of been

We were exited to go on holiday here, As our friend's we were travelling with, Had a great experience in 2016. Upon our arrival We had been told we would have cold flannels and a welcome drink. This wasn't provided. Once we had booked in, We were shown to our room by a lady. Not a bell boy, So I had to carry the suit cases up to the first floor room. On first viewing the room looked fine. Upon further inspection the room was grubby, The shower room was grubby as was the toilet area. We were expecting the beds to have clean sheets at least every other day? Being described as a 5star premium Flag ship hotel? Over our two week period we had the sheets replaced once. Not to standard. We had a pillow with marks on which I photographed on different days. The toilet didn't always flush, No water and no shower facility at times. Not acceptable. We were with a group of friends who all experienced the same problems. Our friends who organised the holiday, Booked the restaurants on numerous occasions. We were looking forward to the Italian restaurant, On our friend's previous visit in 2016, He had freshly made pizzas, So we ordered pizzas. They came out and very quickly realised these were frozen pizzas heated up, Not much topping and the base was thick and not cooked properly inside. Terrible. On other visits, to this restaurant we had alternative food which was good, Albeit they never had full selection available on the already small menu. Jamaican Restaurant. The food was good, They never had full selection of food on already small menu. The food was good what we had available. Asian Restaurant. On our first visit, We were not given plates for the starters. This was bizarre. The lights all went out in restaurant for a couple of minutes, Then the fire alarm went off for about three minutes, Everyone was leaving when the fire alarm stopped. The food was again good, But full menu was not available. Buffet Bar, Some days was good other days not so. Over all the food experience wasn't good enough for a 5star premium hotel. Pool and decking area. The main pool looked fine. We didn't go in there though. The decking is an absolute disgrace, Holes and damaged decking every where. The main pool bar. My wife likes cocktails, The Dirty Banana cocktail, There were no bananas to make the cocktail they used Banana liquor for the drink. Not fresh fruit as expected. Block 2, Pool Bar, For five days we couldn't order cocktails as the ice crusher wasn't working. This was the bar by our friends swim up rooms. They also didn't have fresh fruit for the cocktails. The bar staff were good and apologetic when we complained about the no fresh fruit for cocktails. My wife and friends joined in on Pool aerobics, Keep fit. Upon grabbing the side of the pool her fingers were black from the dirt on the tiles. Totally unacceptable. The break feast was a good selection and fresh omelettes were made every day with a good choice of fillings. The only let down on the breakfast was they very rarely had Breakfast tea bags. Good old English tea, Not available. There is a Coffee bar in reception area. They had a good selection of cakes, and fresh cookies. What they didn't have most days was Breakfast tea bags. There is also an Ice cream machine, There was vanilla most days, But not the chocolate ice cream. This was available twice in fourteen days I am aware of. This area is also supposed to have Fresh sandwiches available. These were not available every day. This was the most we have ever spent as a couple on holiday. The beach was lovely and cleaned everyday. The hotel is being run down or something No management as not run correctly. Not a very good experience. Don't waste your money. Look elsewhere.

Extremely dissatisfied

Stayed here seven years ago and was a expectional resort unfortunately this cannot be said now .Service, staff,food,entertainment, bars and general upkeep and cleanliness extremely poor this resort is no longer a five star resort would struggle to say three. No mangement to be seen in the resort at any of the above services .We went with a party of ten friends and were all very disappointed . The only saving grace is the beach .
