    Second time at this resort and weirdly last year was better. Let’s start from the beginning: 1- A honeymoon room is little and with a lot of issues compare to a deluxe junior suite. 2- The grey bracelet give you a ‘premium experience’ , well, is nothing premium about it . 3- Front Desk is like a supermarket on Sunday , everybody has a different opinion and no one knows the true . 4- The ‘Sky bar’ is only a good place to enjoy the sunset , because is no ‘premium liquor’ . Can’t believe not even Don Julio or Chivas Regal. 5- The employees working at sales are wearing a nasty piece of plastic attached to the chin and barely blocking the mouth. THAT IS NOT A MASK AND THAT DOESNT PROTECT ANYBODY!!!! Shame on them guys . 6- I been calling the resort months ago to check the ‘honeymoon suite ‘ with Alejandro Hernández of sales department,which was very profesional about it ,but I was specifying that I don’t want mistakes in the room . Well,jacuzzi was not working ,the door handle was terrible and it was NO RENOVATION AT THAT ROOM . Alejandro told me about new rooms ,maybe in the photos of the website but not at the resort . I got a change room because Adriana ,but then she gave me a ‘weird ‘ info of the check out saying that I can check out at 5 P.M ,because I was V.I.P . That wasn’t true ,Lucia (which is one step ahead) remind me that check out is always at 12 ,but he can leave the room at 1. Guys C-O-O-R-D-I-N-A-T-I-O-N ,simple as that . And please ,can somebody teach the people of the buffet what is ‘Salt and Pepper’? Which is the same in Spanish ‘Sal y Pimienta’ ? Looks like is hard for them . I know is not a very tourist resort ,but ,more knowledge more money. The associates below make our experience different and pleasant . Carbajal ( the waiter guy at the beach ) , Claudia Orosco ( the waitress at the beach restaurant) Victor ( sky bar ) and Lucia Uresti ( Front End) we’re very professional .

    We arrived in September. The front desk was busy with a handful of check ins but they still made us feel welcome. The rooms were great, they were nice and clean and were comfortable. Staff here are extremely friendly. We really felt valued as guests and felt at home through the staffs warm greetings and appreciation. I was impressed with the first things I see in the morning - hotel staff tirelessly cleaning the pool, the gym, handle bars and so on. You really feel clean and safe. We also enjoyed the pool facing the beach, we spent most of our time there! The servers made sure we were having a good time. Staff were wearing masks.

    Great Stay at Buenaventura Grand

    This is a very nice hotel at the lower end of the price spectrum. Yet it is clean, comfortable, well maintained and convenient to the touristy parts of PV. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The restaurant food is good and included for no extra charge. Nice selection of buffet items and very tasty. For the price I couldn't have asked for more. I would certainly stay here again.

    Great value but lack attention to detail

    In general I don't have any complaints regarding the hotel facilities and quality. The hotel is a great value for what you pay and considering current travel conditions they pay close attention to sanitary precautions on all fronts. However I do consider they could do more to enforce safe distances in queues There where a couple of oversights which left me with a bad impression at the end of our stay. First I had asked for the room to be prepped with wine and strawberries for when we arrived, which never happened. Once I let them know they tried to make it up on our last night, however they left nothing to open the bottle with and told us no one could come to our room to help so we were left having to take the bottle down to the bar ourselves and having them open it there. There is definitely some lack of attention to detail that could be improved to make this a great option.

    The rooms are renovated now and the service is very good. Keep in mind we felt like we were two of about 50 people at the hotel. All service was good, the bar, the restaurant and poolside. Bottom line, everyone was very accommodating and happy they had guests. We were also very happy to be there. Many COVID-19 precautions throughout the hotel. Lots of hand sanitizer and hotel staff requesting you apply. Overall great place. We will go back again when things get back to fully open in Puerta Vallarta.
