    Multiple Food Allergies

    This was our second time to Mexico with our kids. We stayed at Moon Palace the first time, and our kids all agreed that they liked Grand Palladium way better! It was so naturally beautiful at Grand Palladium, and you could walk everywhere! We were there over the Christmas break and the activities were endless: Santa on the beach, Mexican bull riding, foam party, night shows that included the kids, casino night, live music, etc. Our son has multiple food allergies. From the moment we checked in, Antonio (at Public Relations) took care of our son with multiple food allergies. He made sure to photocopy the list of his allergies and co-ordinate where he was going to eat that night. From then onwards, every single chef and manager that we met, were amazing, and took such good care of our son. I was especially impressed with Juan (the manager at Portofino) as he showed me that the pasta that they had on hand was actually safer than the pasta I brought from home. He took so much care to read every single ingredient. My son with food allergies loved Portofino the best. Some of the amazing people that helped us were: Sumptuori: Felipe (manager) and Juan (chef) Breakfast Buffet: Felipe (chef) and Alejandro (manager) Portofino: Juan (manager) and Carlos (chef) and Manuel (server) Thai: Miguel (chef) and Erick (waiter) We can't wait to come back!

    This was our sixth visit to the Grand Palladium Resort in Riviera Maya. This was our first stay at the Colonial. Pros: This resort is very well maintained and clean with a beautiful jungle setting. The majority of the staff are outstanding and are happy to help with a smile. The food in the buffets can be hit or miss but there are quite a few choices. It would be nice if the food was kept hotter or replenished more frequently. There are plenty of carts with drivers to take you around the resort in a quick fashion. Pools were clean and well maintained. Waitresses around the White Sands pool area were outstanding. Always providing excellent service with a smile in the scorching heat. Although the beach has had some erosion, it is still a very nice beach with plenty of loungers. Rooms were clean. Fridge was stocked daily. The shows are great and are put together very well, but would be nicer if they started earlier. Al a Carte restaurants are excellent except Ribs and More and El Dorado which had poor food, service and long wait times. Cons: Travel Club members seem to be catered to more so than regular guests. The rooms no longer have towel art. Disappointing. La Laguna buffet was not open for the second year in a row. It would be nice to have at least one heated pool in the winter months. Overall, we love this place. Props to the best POP team we've ever encountered at the White Sands pool...Clara, Joshue, Tania, Abril, Diana and Monica. They made our trip that much more fun.

    Nice hotel, great food, great service. The poolarea was really satisfaying. The room in the hotel was nice. The staff in the hotel give good service, always a smile on their face. The facility in the hotel was always clean. A nice hotel for kids.

    It is my second time in mexico but this hotel convinced me to come back. the food was very tasty, the hotel facilities clean and always tidy. the team of animators is excellent. particularly courteous were Abril, Igor, Abraham, Ianko & particularly Dan. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and spend 3 weeks in this hotel.

    I went to see my travel agent, Tami Maybin at Marlin travel and told her what I was looking forward. She recommended the Grand Palladium and I am very glad she did. We booked with WestJet Vacations. We arrived at the resort just after 8 pm and the check in was very smooth. We then went to have supper at the buffet. The food was fresh and hot and there were so many options. I have no complaints about the food. We were there for 14 days and were able to take advantage of eating at 9 of the restaurants. All were good but I had the best burger at Ribs restaurant. The a Brazilian was also excellent. What made my stay was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. They were constantly smiling and their work ethic is unreal. What disappointed me was the number of people who did not tip for this exceptional service. People need to remember many rely on the tips which are shared with all. If you had exceptional service you could go up to them and give them a tip just for them. We always go to the sales presentations as I am looking at buying just not sure yet, which type or brand I want. I was very happy with Victor, as I told him what I was doing and he presented their program showing me the benefits and when I told him I still wanted to check other programs he was still polite and professional. At a presentation at a time share I went through 5 people trying to force me into buying despite me telling them I was still in the research phase. Palladium remains on my list as a possibility duet o his professionalism. We took cabs into a Playa Del Carmen and were impressed with how the resort insured they knew who took us and monitored our return, great for safety. We took the ferry to Cozumel and it was a great day. I will say it was a rough ferry ride and if you have motion sickness as I do, make sure you take a gravel or use sea bands as the crossing can be quite choppy. I went to the Spa three times and each time the masseuse was excellent. I can understand why this service is rated so high. I do want to acknowledge employees who stood out or me Rinaldo , Supervisor, and Reynolds, server at the Ribs restaurant Gessica, our server at the pool, amazing servic Omar, he booked the right masseuse for my issues Anna, masseuse at the Spa. One of the best deep tissue massages I have had Dan, Animation and Entertainment. He was very friendly and knowledgeable Andres, server at the Mexican restaurant Juan at check out serice
