We’ve just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel and we thought it was very good. We had a platinum swim out room in block 5 and it was so quiet and peaceful, just what we wanted. Our room was cleaned daily, usually in the afternoon and there was only one occasion we needed to request a missing item. We were supplied with plenty of bottled water and pool towels. There were a few occasions when room service trays were left outside in the corridor which the roaming coaties helped themselves to but the mess was cleared away quite quickly. The food in the a la carte restaurants was very tasty and the service overall was very good although in the buffet it was, a few times, a bit hit and miss in terms of how quickly we were offered drinks etc. The food in the buffet was overall good quality with lots of choice, particularly at breakfast time although a few times the food was warm rather than hot and dishes that were running low were replenished quickly. We enjoyed our evenings at bar plaza and service there was excellent. Our bed was large and comfortable but I wasn’t overly impressed with the pillows. The double shower was great but the towels were a little small. It would have been nice to have had a full length mirror but the storage was plentiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just got back from a week at PYP and it was overall a wonderful relaxing week. If you can book a swim up room I highly recommend it especially if you don’t want to hang out at the party pool all the time. The other room we had was one with a jacuzzi on the deck. I like it at night but also used the jacuzzi late in the day before sunset with just cool water in it. Very refreshing. I have to agree with most, this is not a beach vacation. If you want a nice beach, go to Cuba. Like you’ve been reading lots of seaweed (it is what it is) but for me what I didn’t like are all three rocks in the ocean where there resort is. Some suggested to go next door to the other resort but I also found it bad there too. This is the first time going down south where I literally spent 95% of my time at the pool. The food was incredible. The service was good (I wouldn’t say incredible). I found the weekend much busier then week days, seemed very LGBT friendly. I would go back for the food, modern look, pools but because of the beach, I doubt I will rebook.

I refused to believe the negative reviews. Shame on me. Here is my review of this place. Positive: 1. The air-conditioning is good in the room. 2. The food is good: everything you can desire. We ate mostly at the buffet, tried the grill, it was good. 3. A lot of comfortable beds at the pool and the pool is nice. 4. The workers are cleaning the seaweed on the beach non stop, but it's a huge problem - see my description of the beach. Negative: 1. The hotel is not safe during the rain. The roads are sloped and very slippery. Also you have to pass the pool on the way to the room and its also very slippery. 2. The beach itself is rocky, not swimmable. The hotel next door cleaned the rocks and made the area for people to swim, not this hotel. The beds are very old and dirty. The steps to the beach are made out of sandbags. The bar and buffet at the beach look terrible. Not 5 star, worse then a public beach. Dirty, garbage is not picked up. 3. The rooms were cleaned daily, but the corridors never, you pass the same garbage during the whole stay. the bathrooms are not clean. I went to the bathroom next to the grill restaurant during my dinner and lost my appetite. Aver all we did not find this hotel delivered the value. We will not be back and i don't recommend this hotel.

Me and my friends came to this resort to relax and enjoy the parties as well. After our long days at the beaches, pools, and restaurants, we always made sure to hit the 24/7 bar at the end of the resort. Jeremías always made sure to take care of us and make us feel exceptionally welcomed, as well as satisfied. Service was great, quick, and of quality. He’s the best!

Very disappointed with this resort, after seeing such great reviews. The room was great, I had a swim out. It was the service that was not that good. Instead of new towels, the service rolled up our 2 day old wet towels and put them on the table for use. Room service terrible. Wrong order and it looked like it was someone’s left overs from next door. The food in general was not 5 star. The sister resorts of which i have stayed are much better.
