DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A WARM ROOM!!!

Do not stay here if you want a warm room!! They don't tell you that the heating system here during the summer months can only heat the rooms to a maximum of 20 degrees. They CANNOT make your room warmer than that unless the outdoor temperature is higher than 20 degrees. This would be fine except that in the evening the temperature in your room could be as low as 16 /17 degrees which makes the room quite chilly to sleep in. After enquiring very nicely to the hotel manager named Rochede about ways to raise the temperature, they sent up blankets and a Manual space heater that you can turn on at 2am when you wake up in your chilly room. I woke up last night to do so only to find the heater they sent up does not work. DO NOT BE FOOLED. THIS HOTEL LOOKS NICE ON THE OUTSIDE BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A MODERN HVAC SYSTEM. YOU WILL BE LEFT UNSATISFIED WITH NO WAY TO HEAT YOUR ROOM EXCEPT AN OLD BEATUP SPACE HEATER WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT WORK.

After watching a promotion to encourage local customers, my wife and I decided to try the "Hotel Van". Unfortunately, the reservations number given was an answering/booking service which not only wasn't interested in answering any questions about the Hotel or any Promotions offered. Further and coupled with extremely poor English, the reservations attendant didn't even know which city the Hotel Vancouver was located in !!! Huge disappointment, we were really looking forward to staying here as well as our attempt to help stimulate the local economy. Suggestion for future travelers: Do not use the generic booking service, call the hotel direct.

Most comfortable hotel stay ever that my husband is seriously contemplating about purchasing the same bed. Teenager is telling me to rate them 6 stars lol. Preschooler loved the pool and I had the best hotel experience that I cannot stay at any other Vancouver hotel from now on. We had the best view of the Vancouver Art Gallery and husband and I enjoyed walking around downtown to waterfront each night. If only I can bring home the heavenly scent! I asked the receptionist if it’s available to purchase as a diffuser or anything similar but can’t, too bad. We’ll keep coming back for sure!

Very spacious room, with excellent views of the city. Amenities provided in the bathroom were from Le Labo, very heavenly. Despite the showerhead being a little noisy everything else in the room was modern and well maintained. I was able to get a good night's rest on each occasion because little to no noise could be heard from the other rooms. The pool was another plus and I recommend a late-night dip with friends.

The hotel has the sense of opulence you'd expect. The Fairmont's grandeur remains undimmed by the passing of time. Walk through the front doors of the Georgia Street entrance and prepare to be dazzled by an enduring piece of Vancouver history. It's hard to be disappointed walking into the Fairmont Vamcouver. The aesthetic of the rooms at the Fairmont isn't exactly wild and crazy—they're big on neutrals—but they are elegant. The Fairmont's concierge makes great recommendations, particularly if you request dining options that locals frequent. Within a two-minute walk of Robson, Alberni, Burrard, and Granville streets, four of the city’s main shopping and strolling areas, the hotel keeps much of what you’ll want to explore within an easy taxi ride away. You’re also within two blocks of the two main downtown Skytrain stations.
