Secrets Wild Orchid is the way to go if you want to experience what first class really feels like. Greg Shaw was a big part of helping us get acclimated to the area and the culture. If you're there and need any information about anything Jamaica look for Greg Shaw (pictured below). If your looking to relax without the kids Secrets Wild Orchid is the BEST route. The food in the restaurants is great except for 1 or 2 of them but there's plenty to choose from all over 24hrs a day. The grounds are kept emaculant. Checking in was very smooth with ladies of the front desk at Wild Orchid. The rooms are beyond amazing! The nightly entertainment is pretty good. The dinner on the beach was truly one of our number one highlights. Our server Antwain Rowe (pictured below) was so well polished in his profession it made the dinner that much better. He made me look like a super husband with the nice graceful touches to our dinner. He gave us a superb history lesson of the island of Jamaica, the music and the love he has for his profession. Tip..... Prepay for "Club Mobay" (YouTube Club Mobay, Montego Bay) in your package. This service is one of a kind. Its the fastest way to get in and out of the airport to start your vacation. Also, it's faster leaving and getting to your return flight. Their staff truly takes great care of you. Flat out this vacation was money well spent! Thank you Wild Orchild Staff!

This is the 4th time I have been to the Caribbean, Cancun, Cayo Coco, Punta Cana and now Montego Bay. I stayed in the Secrets Wild Orchid, Junior Suite Preferred Club room. The room was great and clean with very good AC. The beaches were amazing, water was perfectly calm with wave breakers protecting the beaches from the waves at sea. The bell hop Matthew really stood out in the Preferred Club lobby where I stayed. Very helpful whenever I had a question and super friendly all the time. The food was excellent, the best I have had at any of the resorts I have been to. A la carte restaurants all had great menus to choose from. Lunch was a buffet that changed up some of the main servings every day. There was entertainment every night at the Piano Bar. A comedian on one night who took 5 couples from the crowd to play a game of who knew their partners best. Some of the questions were pretty riske and it made for some very funny entertainment. There was a sing a long with a pianist every day after the main entertainment. The ladies in the bar always got into top flight when Neil Diamond or Bon Jovi came on. Overall, Jamaica has had the best atmosphere and personalities to interact with across the trip. I will be back again, and likely to this same resort. I think I've found my getaway location. I did two excursions: Rick's Cafe, where I jumped off a 35 ft cliff into the sea, that was crazy but fun. Be aware that you will need money for drinks and food on this excursion. Dunn's River Falls / Nine Miles. The Dunn's River Falls was an awesome experience to climb the falls. Then we stopped at a local bar for lunch, either grilled fish or jerk chicken, the food was alright. Nine Miles, is the tour to Mount Zion and Bob Marley's home / resting place. I was expecting to hear a bit about his life, the Rastafarian life style, etc, but it's basically a quick walk around through a couple of small houses that Bob Marley and his family lived in and was buried. The atmosphere seemed not to be that of sharing the Rastafarian life style but of selling you weed. I am not one to partake just out of preference and the way it makes me feel personally. I felt like they were offended when I didn't want any of the weed laced products. It would be a good experience if you are someone who is interested in pot, if not it's probably something to skip.

Friends 40th b-day celebrations + much needed couples getaway!

The resort was beautiful, clean, and very accommodating. HIGHLY suggest going "Preferred Club - All Inclusive." We each had a butler that would get us anything we wanted and when we wanted it no matter where we were! All of the staff was amazing; the poolside entertainment staff were so much fun and extremely friendly! Props and shouts out to: Tay, Sky, Chad, J Star, Jerome, and Andre! You made the experience so much more enjoyable, thank you again! Would love to still be there! Didn't get a chance to visit the spa or Breathless but maybe next time! ;)

Travel here actually in May 2017. This was one of the best places and experiences that my wife and I ever had. We invited a "bunch" of friends here to celebrate my wife's 50th. First off, if you are ocean and/or pool lovers like my wife and I are, you'll simply be in heaven as the ocean water was crystal clear and warm everyday. And then once on the beach, listen up for the jerk-chicken man and his rolling grill cart. EXCELLENT food as me and all our friends found him "daily"!!! All the other restaurants were very good as well with a lot of variety to choose from. At night on the resort is when it comes alive. There's a host of activities to do, see and participate in, but then after 10pm, that's when the club gets cranking!!! The DJ played a great mixture of R&B/Hip-Hop, Reggae and Caribbean style music. In summary, I would highly recommend going to the Secrets Wild Orchid resort property. It has many different activities during the day and night. I would also book any excursion you want as early as possible. The catamaran cruise was wonderful as we swam with the fish and the stingrays and visited the Warren Buffet's Margaritaville. We toured the adjacent Secrets St. James property too. It seemed to be a little more crowded but spacing was adequate. The St. James property might be a more economic option for those not wanting to spend too much on their first visit.

My husband and I travel a lot and this is by far the best vacation we have ever taken. Matthew was the first person we met after arriving at the resort and he immediately made us feel at home. Gregory Shaw who worked in housekeeping was extremely personable and made us feel as if we were at home receiving service from a personal butler. He and I struck up a conversation while we were waiting on our room, and if I didn't know better I would swear he was my brother from another mother. This dude is like the best friend you didn't know you were missing. Deneca Brown was our server every morning for breakfast and she was the best. She knew what we wanted without us asking. Everything we fell in love with she made sure we had it the next day when we returned. Matthew knows the name of every guest at the resort and kept everyone laughing. He made us feel like we were at a family reunion with family we had not seen in years. Make sure you visit the Marlin Bar and ask for Alvin, Erica and Jethro. Everyday I would tell Alvin to surprise me with a drink and he never disappointed. He is so comical. He made you feel like you were walking into Cheers, you know, where everyone knows your name. He, Erica and Jethro react to each other like family members, there is no way you can not feel at home around them. We will definitely visit Montego Bay again and stay at Secrets Wild Orchid because of these people. Thank you Daneca, Matthew, Gregory Shaw, Alvin, Jethro, and Erica for making the Calhoun's feel so special.
