This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in my entire life. From the cockroaches in every single room to the inedible food being served in three different resteraunts on this resort. The tasteless slimey food had 0 nutrients and had gotten me and 6 of my friends sick, which is why we chose to risk our safety and leave the resort for the sole purpose of finding something to eat over the course of the next 5 days. When it came to the staff everyone was fake nice but would laugh at you in their language when you ask a genuine question. Everything is misleading, when we booked our excretions we were told it was minimum 45 minutes away but ended up being 2 hours both ways. The boat rides in which we paid $100 USD each for was a nightmare. Not only did we have to wake up early and still kiss breakfast we were stuffed onto a boat which was headed straight into a storm. Within an hour of cursing the rain started hammering onto us which promoted us to ask to go back due to safety reasons, the boat crew just laughed at us and continued to voyage forward to catalina island which was also getting hammered by rain. Once we got to the island we stayed under shelter until the rain stopped just to go back home. Definitely not worth $100 USD. There is 0 room service they will tell you to pretty much kick rocks for anything you ask for through reception, we could not even order a simple towel or water bottle to our room. The beach is completely filled with river water and is mucky brown which is not safe to swim in but there are 0 warning signs along the beach. If you want to so much as walk around the resort freely you cannot even do that without being asked to upgrade to a VIP wrist band which is not even worth it for one extra pool and a few beach seats. The water was really cold in the shower and the AC are out dated. This hotel is not a 5 star and shouldn’t even be a 1 star this establishment should be shut down.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay here! The staff were friendly and courteous. Our room was great. We found the bed comfortable and lots of pillows. We had a slight problem with a leaky air conditioner, but it was fixed immediately. We loved the fact that the lobby vendors, who were in for 1 day were not aggressive. One could browse leisurely. The beach and pool were great, with lots of loungers available. The food was very good and there was a lot of choice. The entertainment crew kept things interesting and fun. Definitely recommend this resort.

The hotel needs deep renovation. It's definitely not a 5 stars hotel. The beach is definitely not a carribean one, there is a river that is very close to it and the water is never clear. There's no difference between the restaurants and the buffet, you will eat the same stuff (quantity over quality). Not suggested if you go to Republica Dominicana.

visiting this resort after cap cana margaritaville didnt know what to expect, as our experience there was not that good! it was far better than expected and really good value for money, we did pay in resort to upgrade to adult side bourganville ( worth every penny) , and not that expensive. we did have a few issues initially and be aware that some rooms have an adjoining door to next door room so it can get noisy, we did move anyway as our aircon didnt work and leaked everywhere, no issues but bundling up stuff to move is a pain! do not come here if you like lovely blue water to swim in, as it isnt, lots of places have seaweed issues caribbean beaches not fairing well, but pools are ok and lots of nice places to sunbathe. food was really good and no dodgy belly that i had in cap cana despite it costing double price of here! please get the upgarde to the alacartes as you feel like youre actually having a night out rather than a rushed meal ( although the buffet food isnt bad! ) adult side bourganville quite classy also, drinks always nice especially daily cocktails! not a party hotel and probably an older crowd, even though they seem to know how to put away the alcohol! all in good spirits though and we have already booked to return !

We have just returned from a fantastic two week trip here! The hotel is wonderful with beautiful grounds, the gardens are kept immaculate. It is spotlessly clean and the food in the buffet was great, had a huge selection for everyone’s needs. The a la carte restaurants were also delicious and enjoyed going to these for something different. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable big beds. The pool area was fab… always managed to get a sun bed with shade with no problem. The beach was so pretty and relaxing ( yes the sea is not perfect) but that didn’t bother us at all. The staff is what makes this hotel extra special … they are all so friendly and hardworking … the guys at the pool bar and the bar in the lobby were great! … Alfred who is one of the entertainers was brilliant at his job.. and we missed him on his days off ! Special mention also to Zair Sabino , she was always a pleasure to see, very hardworking and always happy and smiley and making me practice my Spanish ! And lastly Jose L and Juan Florentine were are very favourite waiters.. they were in the le gourmet restaurant and they always made our evenings fun! We would recommend this hotel to friends and family, thanks for a wonderful time!
