My husband and I were really excited to spend Christmas in Las Vegas for the first time. (We actually traveled December 2019 but I didn't have that option for date traveled.) We had booked a suite at the Palazzo with an early checkin. When we arrived at 1pm, there were no rooms available. We had to go sit in the casino to wait. Finally, at 3:30pm, I went to the front desk again. I was told there were still no rooms available, but when I complained, all of a sudden, there was a room available. (Mind you, the Palazzo had promised to make right some things that went wrong the last time we were there.) When we arrived at the room, we immediately noticed it hadn't been cleaned. There was an actual pill on the floor as well as rings from glasses. The blinds looked like they had been through a war and lost. Plus it wasn't even close to the type of suite we had booked. On top of that, the amenities the hotel promised we would get, I had to keep asking where they were. I went back down to the front desk and complained about the state of the room. They finally got us into the suite we had actually booked. By this time, it was 5:30pm, and we were exhausted. The amenities finally showed up, just as we were taking a nap. After the first day, the rest of our trip was amazing. No more issues. The suite was lovely and had a wonderful view of the strip. My only concern now is that my husband and I have planned a trip next month in May (along with my mother in law) to celebrate her 75th birthday. We've booked 2 suites. I'm really hoping this time it's a smooth check in. My mother-in-law is disabled and has never been to Vegas. She is so excited. Fingers crossed.

    Unfortunate Experience

I'm no stranger to Las Vegas, as I have stayed on and off the strip well before I could indulge in all that Vegas offers. This particular visit to the day marked the one year anniversary of Covid-19 and interesting enough my birthday. I most recently transitioned from the Mlife MGM membership the the Grazie Loyalty Club. I booked a two night stay at the Palazzo arriving March 13 and departing March 15. During our decent into Las Vegas and to take advantage of the mobile covid friendly check-in I check-in with the instruction of only going to the front desk for the room cards. Upon arrival the Hotel was visually pleasing with the casino floor filled with compliant mask wearing players and partiers, a great sight to see. We get in the long long long line to pick up the room cards and to our surprise our rooms aren't ready. We were told that we could take a handicapable" room that was available for an extra charge. Be being totally in-tuned with Karma refused in the case that someone who actually needed that room would have access to it. The gentleman at the desk stated it should be that long to turn over a room you requested weeks in advanced. I said I understand and didn't mind waiting at this time it was roughly 3PM. The gentleman said you can check your bags and have them delivered to your room when it's ready and that we did. Before leaving the desk I told the gentlemen we are here for a very exclusive event an hour to two I understand anything further than that we can make other arrangements if you don't have the room. The gentlment said it usually takes an hour and we just went to a higher capacity today hence the more people in the hotel. He told me we will contact you by phone so I put my phone on the loudest setting and dropped off our baggage. As time passed 4 o clock 5 o clock we began weary calling to only be told not yet. With the event fast approaching we were in jeopardy of not being allowed entrance. This event a suit and tie benefit (no exceptions). With no messages we returned at 8pm and ask about retrieving our luggage so that we could get dressed in the public bathroom and attend the event. As time goes on the baggage handler started making calls and walking in an out a back door. We ask after 20 minutes if there was a problem and they informed us a person responsible for organizing the bags was on break. So then I went to the desk and asked to speak with anybody who could help. Now a female stated our rooms were ready more than 5 hours later. I informed her there were no calls or missed messages and proceeded to show my call list and message inbox only showing outgoing calls in which I was told my room was not ready. Inconvenienced still trying to make the event we rushed back to the baggage area and was told there was a mixed up and our belongings would be brought to our room. My other half called to rectify and locate our bags and they offered her a discount which she replied I don't want a discount I want our bags please. More than a hour later our bags arrived. We missed the event and the overall reason for coming to vegas foiled. The next day on my birthday feeling cheated and mishandled we check out early. We made arrangements with the Vdara through our old Mlife account and salvage the rest of the trip. During check out I asked to be contacted by a rep to for further explanation to which no one has responded . I completed the survey to which no one had responded . Such an unfortunate display of customer service. No matter how amazing the property looks it's nothing with out great staff and attention to detail. At this time a month later still no response.

    Table limits too high!

The hotel is starting to show some age. The attention to detail is starting to slip. This could be due to the economic impact of the pandemic. Lack of help is keeping the restaurants from better service. The minimum price of the tables are way too high. Every time the $15.00 craps went to $25.00 min. people cleared out. I think they are trying to recoup their money too quickly and driving players away. I have been going at least once a year since their open in 2007, this was the most unpleasant trip. Dealers were not friendly!

Great stay at the Pallazzo. Best part was Natasha at the front desk. She was so pleasant during check-in and made sure the two rooms in our family were next to each other and provided the exact type of room for our stay. Thanks again for a great stay!
