This hotel has become a go-to hotel for my trips to NYC for work. I often go to several Broadway shows while I am here, and this is so centrally located for that...and close to all the subways! Plus you can walk to midtown or central park, or enjoy good food in Hell's Kitchen! The front desk staff has always been so friendly and engaging, which is not always the case in this city. On this particular trip Brunilda was the awesome person who checked us in and welcomed us back home! She was super fun, personable and made checking in a delight! This is one great example of the encounters I've had while staying here.

Worse experience with an IHG hotel ever

The only good thing to say about this hotel is his location direct on the Times Square. After great experience with Crown Plaza hotels around the world we werde expecting a prefect stay, as usual. Unfortunately it wasn't. The hotel has an ugly, dark lobby. Check-in was distant and it seemed we were disturbing. The we got the first room, which should have Times Square view. Well, the view was on the Times Square - if you press your face on the window. From the 40th level you don't really see anything but the windows of the opposite buildings. The other thing was the room itself: wallpaper came of the walls, bathroom was dirty, all furniture were damaged. The windows was not closing completely. The room was tiny and so was the bathroom. After complaining we have got a similar room on the 36th level with better view on Times Square. The furniture were not as much damaged as in the other room. The bathroom was cleaner, but the wallpaper dissolved of the walls. OK, there is one more good thing we can say about the hotel: the breakfast was good. The price-performance ratio was unacceptable. Never again!

For a romantic weekend getaway (romance optional) to NYC to see some Broadway shows, there is no better place to stay than this hotel. We were seeing Hadestown and the line to get into the theatre was literally right outside the hotel door. It took all of 5 minutes to get from the hotel lobby to our seats and that's because we stopped for drinks at the theatre bar. Two drinks cost us $58 but that's a separate review... The room was amazing and the services was top-notch. I ordered room service and it arrived fresh and hot in under 15 minutes. I was impressed.

Great location, poor service. Rooms were too hot with zero ability to control temperature. Called down for service and it took hours and multiple calls for someone to come up. Charged extra for Time Square view, not worth the angle
