    Reasonable price for a decent hotel

    Stayed with my family of 4 for a long weekend. Room is large but a little dated and in need of update. Fine for our needs just not outstanding. Be sure to ask for a walk in shower if you cannot handle climbing into a very deep tub. No restaurant, although decent diner next door and lots of close by options. No real lobby either, but that wasn’t a huge need for our group. Beds are comfy and nice to have aveda shower products. Location is walkable to Times Square, Central Park and not in the chaos of the super touristy area. Valet parking is 60$ but convenient.

    Checked into the room today and found strands of hair in the tub and sink. The front desk sent housekeeping right away, but it still makes me wonder whether there is other mess lying around. Hotel did not even offer to change the room. You expect more out of a 4-star establishment. Do better.

    I have stayed at many marriotts but this is probably my favorite now. It was my first time staying and right when I walked in I noticed how nice the hotel seemed. The lobby is pretty and service was so easy to check in. Water bottles in room are complimentary. My room was so nice. I was on the 15th floor and my room felt like a mini studio apartment. The bathroom is separate further back in the room separated by a wooden sliding door and the shower is really spacious. The view from my room was also pretty which is rare. Usually you are just looking at the back of a building. I needed a few things during my stay like a wine opener toothpaste a shower cap and everything was quickly delivered my room. Also the man behind the front desk during my stay, Raymond was really a gem. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Offered me a later checkout offered suggestions for dinner lunch directions etc. offered to let me check bags for the day after checkout and the list just goes on. It really adds to an experience when the staff are so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend. I will be back!!

    My girlfriend and I are in NYC very often and have stayed in many different hotels in Manhattan (mostly Marriott brands). Our stay at the Renaissance Hotel 57 however was our best hotel experience in the city so far. Steve and his staff are extremely friendly, supportive and made us feel very welcome. The design of the newly renovated lobby and lounge are typical for Renaissance hotels and really make you feel at home. The rooms are a little old fashioned but are very clean, the bed was really comfortable and our room was very spacious for Manhattan standards. We especially loved the rooftop terrace which is a real jewel in this location. We can’t wait to come back!

    William at the front desk was so welcoming. He knew it was our anniversary and did some special things for us. The hotel is in a great location. It's very clean. Our stay was great! The continental breakfast was also great.
