My Wife and I loved every minute of our stay here on the adults side of the resort. Our butler Ranjeet was amazing and cared about every aspect of our stay. I have never seen better service at an all inclusive resort (we have stayed at several all over the Caribbean and Mexico) and that was in a large part because of Ranjeet. The reviewers who suggest just eating at Azul are SPOT ON. Menu changes for lunch and dinner and its all amazing. The view is ridiculous as you are literally on a cliff hanging over the ocean. I have never seen the drinks flow so well either no matter where you are on the resort or what you are drinking. My wife agreed this was our favorite place and we will be back. Don’t forget if you get a butler suite to ask for Ranjeet, he is a game changer!

I stayed at this property to start the 2020 yr off. I contacted the hotel several times before booking the room months prior to my arrival to ensure my room had a balcony and a ocean view. When I arrived to the room, I immediately noticed my view is of a roof of another building. When I complained, I was told the hotel was fully booked and I had to deal with it essentially. I suggested that Sonesta rethink how they advertise that room, the deluxe suite should clearly indicate that the room has little to no views of the ocean. Also they should not be the same price as other rooms on the property as that room type is the worse on the property. It’s completely unfair for anyone to be randomly selected to have a less then desirable experience on the property then other guest. If you do still book there, make sure you do not accept any of the 02 rooms, you will be in the worse rooms and pay the same as others who have the deluxe jr suite.

This is our second visit. Last year the resort was still rebuilding from the Hurricane. The staff and front desk were excellent. This year we found that this was not the case. I had to call several times to confirm our reservation and on at lease two times, I had asked that someone call me back with the information I needed. This did not happen. The food is alright but not great. The room service menu does not change at all and the menu in the restaurants change (but only slightly). Be aware that you that credit care will be billed $50 per night upon your leaving. This will be credited back to your card in 45 days. Room service does not always send what you have asked for. The only person who went out of their way for us was Raj in the Front Office. He was great!

We just returned from a week at Sonesta Ocean Point. Our flight landed at the airport and we were just minutes away. Very easy. The hotel was nice, not overly luxurious but very clean. We found it very easy to get reservations at all the restaurants and found Azul to be our favorite! Frank at the bar in Azul was fantastic! He was so friendly and accommodating! He gave us tips of things to do during the day, and suggested shops to visit! He really made our trip more enjoyable! Go to Mullet Beach, find Chivas jewelry in Philipsburg, and watch the sunset on the rooftop! We took a day trip to Anguilla, beaches were gorgeous! The fireworks on New Years Eve were spectacular! Great vacation spot! Peaceful on the Ocean Point side!

We just returned from a two week stay at this resort. Overall we had a pleasant stay but as with everything there were pros and cons. We had a swim up room which I highly recommend for the convenience and privacy. Our room was nothing special and a bit tired but clean. The Azul Restaurant is very nice and the food is excellent but a bit repetitive if you are there for two weeks. Service varied from very good to non-existent depending upon what server you had. We had two incidents of ordering dessert and coffee that never came after a half hour or so we gave up and left. The restaurant was not overly busy on either occasion. There appears to be no dress code as people showed up for dinner wearing cut off shorts and flips flops etc. One lunch hour a girl was actually wearing a towel. Really? For the price we paid this is not the experience we were expecting. You have access to the restaurants at Maho Resort as well. We went to the buffet there one lunch hour and my advice would be stay away. The food was disgusting and the atmosphere even worse. The good news is there are restaurants on the street just outside the resorts that are decent if you need a change. Room service is fast and again the food is very good. You are provided with an expresso machine in the room but no coffee and tea maker. Not everyone enjoys expresso but whenever I called for a pot of tea it was provided with no issues. We used room service for breakfast most days. All servers were pleasant and made you feel like they were glad to be there. Not so much for some of that staff who take the orders over the phone. We used both the bar at the Azul and one near our room at the pool. Bar service was good and they even came over a few times to see if we needed anything. My only comment here is that after New Years Eve they we poorly stocked for days, No Corona beer, no mix for a Bloody Mary, no Champagne etc. I understand running short for a day but not 3 or 4 days. Entertainment is scarce unless you join what is put on for the Maho Resort which is not adults only an appears to have a total different clientele. We went off the resort two evenings as an alternative. The purpose of this trip was time together and relaxation and we were satisfied however I found New Year's Eve a little disappointing compared to other resorts we have spent New Years at.The fireworks were excellent though. The proximity to the Sonesta Maho is the biggest negative for me. All of the services such as spa, coffee shop, gift shops are at the other resort and the place is like a zoo. Sonesta Ocean Point is definitely not a five star I gave it a four being generous but in reality I think it is more like a 3.5 star. We wanted to visit Sint Maartens and enjoyed the island and the shopping.
