Sunshine and palm trees can’t wait to welcome you. Our mission to keep you safe begins long before take-off. We continuously work with our vacation partners to ensure they meet the highest safety and cleaning standards are being met so that you have peace of mind on your getaway.

Arrival at your destination

When you arrive at your destination, you can expect:

  • A warm welcome by WestJet destination representatives
  • A quick health screening before boarding the transfer vehicle
  • 2m physical distancing among guests

Transportation to your hotel

When travelling from the airport to your hotel, you can expect:

  • A quick health screening may be conducted before boarding the transfer vehicle.
  • Masks are required in all shared transportation.
  • Shuttles are cleaned and disinfected after each trip.
  • Vehicle capacity is limited to support physical distancing.

Assistance at your hotel

As you arrive at your hotel, you can expect:

  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of all service areas
  • 2m physical distancing among guests
  • Representatives will be wearing face masks
  • Welcome briefings will have limited capacity

In destination COVID-19 testing facilities

Arrange for your test early in your trip as demand is high and an appointment may be required. To assist our guests, several providers in select destinations have advised that they are able to provide PCR tests to CanadiansThese details may change at any time so please check back regularly.

Some destinations may have additional restrictions. Be sure to check local guidelines.

Your accommodations

WestJet Vacations continues to work with our hotel partners throughout our network to ensure heightened cleaning and hygiene protocols have been implemented through the resort for a safe environment for all guests. Visit your hotel’s website to find detailed information regarding health and safety protocols.

To ensure physical distancing at your hotel or resort:

  • You may find restrictions on the number of guests in public spaces, mask use may be required throughout the property.
  • Pools, spas, fitness centres, kids clubs and sport facilities may be closed, have capacity limits or may require reservations.
  • Restaurants and bars may be closed, have capacity limits or may require reservations. Room service availability may have changed.
  • Additional facilities and amenities throughout the property may be closed or have altered operations.
  • Mobile or online check-in may be required.

Your travel insurance coverage

To accommodate your changing travel needs and put your Safety Above All, we offer no-charge COVID-19 travel insurance coverage courtesy of TUGO travel insurance, to and from the US, Europe, the UK, Mexico and the Caribbean until October 31, 2021.
